New Year's Resolutions For *nix SysAdmins (cyberciti.biz)
An anonymous reader writes: A new year, with old systems. It is time to break bad old habits and develop good new ones. This list talks about new years resolutions for Linux and Unix sysadmins. List includes turning on 2FA on all services, making peace with systemd, installing free SSL/TLS certificates, avoiding laptops with horrible screens or wireless whitelist in BIOS, building Linux gaming rig and more. What resolutions are on your list regarding sysadmin or IT work in 2016?
1) WTC crashed by two planes. .. and then we of course have the development in Russia where more or less everyone become poor, lots unemployed, lots of stuff was sold out, rising Mafia and Oligarchs and so on and Afghanistan.
2) Launches War on terror.
3) Fires lots of robots at Baghdad and Iraq, a country with among other things the best schools in the area. Fucks up Iraq.
4) Kills Gadhaffi, in Libya, a country which in 2010 had "life expectancy at birth at 74.5 years, an 88.4% adult literacy rate and a gross enrollment ratio of 94.1%,", fucks up Libya.
5) Support rebels and desperately want al-Assad gone, fucks up Syria.
To be fair USA have droned-bombed somewhat in Pakistan too, and all those people in all those countries and more are so fucking glad USA is "fighting terrorism" by bombing the shit out of them. The result is surprisingly good though! Because totally there's no reason at all to be upset at the west and imperial powers and foreign countries and leaders now when they have messed your society up, made it more unsafe, stolen your properties and resources, ruining your economy, drops bombs every now and then and so on.
Shouldn't the idea with "fighting terrorism" be to like, you know, fight the cause and the existence of terrorism? Not fight by terrorizing? Maybe someone got it wrong there.. Back to Guantanamo - "these guys are bad, they have been terrorizing and torturing innocent people! Without a fair trial and without actually charging and sentencing them to anything!" .. "oh wait, that was OUR guys!"?

And what kid doesn't want to have 25-30 year old Afghan men in their class just so they can get asylum and permanent residency (easier if you're "a child")?
