Draconian Aussie Science Censorship Law Takes Effect Next Month (theconversation.com)
An anonymous reader writes: The Conversation reports that beginning next month Australian scientists and engineers face 10 years imprisonment for communicating without a government permit on biotech, robotics or manufacturing. Geoffrey Roberston QC says the laws are "sloppily drafted" and threatens research with "no sensible connection to military technology". But the government is barreling ahead, despite warnings from Defence Report it will kill Australia's high-tech economy. The law is opposed by Civil Liberties Australia where scientists are petitioning against it.
You're actually right. I'm thinking about jumping ship for the US. Although America has real problems with guns,drugs,violence and slavery it's not so bad if you're in a predominantly white area or state. Even the poor hicks in West Virginia arent as bad as the blacks.
The way things are going in Australia the whole place will tank in a pile of over priced housing, under resourced industry and political correctness gone mad resulting in a tsunami of black and brown trash converting this once great nation into a carbon copy of the shitholes they came from.
Seriously, I despair.
Oh, for those of you who are in the US and decide to throw the "racist" stinkbomb at me..... I'm not part of your political or social system. I just say it as I see it when contemplating a step down to another country. Western Europe is fucked from all the shit they are importing, Japan or Singapore/Korea are too different culturally, New Zealand is lovely but too small and will likely follow Australia, and Canada is a bit too cold.
So it seems like living in the burbs in the US surrounded by white dentists and engineers is the best option.
