Israel Accuses Facebook Of Aiding Terrorists and Hampering Police Investigations (reuters.com)
"The young generation in the Palestinian Authority suckles all of its incitement against Israel from Facebook and, in the end, goes and commits murders," Israel's Minister of Internal Security said Saturday. "Some of the blood of the victims of the recent attacks...is unfortunately on the hands of Mark Zuckerberg, because the police and security forces could have been told about the post of that vile murderer." Reuters calls the remarks "ramping up the pressure" as Israel prepares legislation which would allow it to order social media sites to remove posts it considered threatening. The security minister says Facebook currently "sets a very high bar for removing inciteful content and posts" and "sabotages the work of the Israeli police" by being uncooperative.
Facebook responded that there's "no room for content that promotes violence, direct threats, terrorist or hate speeches on our platform." BetaNews writes that "while Facebook waits for content to be reported before acting, Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said that the site should be pro-active in seeking out offending content instead."

I'll address most of the blantabt lies and distortion of facts in the below comments in one here to save us all time.
In 2015 an analysis was undertaken from a collection of respected Generals from various countries around the world - and what they found was that Israel unfortunately took far too many precautions when fighting the war against hamas to preserve civilian life. You can review the report here.

Palestinians are a made up people with a made up agenda from Arab states that simply wish for Jews to be eradicated. What currency did they have? What mail system? What was their government? None.
Despite all of that - when Arabs were encouraged to leave the land of Israel in 1948 prior to the onset of a multi country attack against the fledgling state of Israel - Jews BOUGHT the land from Arabs - legally. That's righ - not something leftist/liberalists will admit but it's true - the land was purchased at exorbitant rates by Jews. Im sure I don't have to connect the dots but I will. The idea was that they would get Jewish money for the land AND also get the land back in the war - of course the Arabs lost the war and the cried foul when they also lost the land the had sold and fled from. Therefore - no Arab has any right to claim that land - ever.
So let's talk about 'settlements' - Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians as an experiment to see if they could be trusted. Instead of building or maintaining what was given to them - they destroyed what was there and only used it as a means to launch assaults from. The 'West Bank' is actually know as Judea and Samaira - an original heartland of hostorical Israel and lawfully captured in 1967 after Israel was attacked by other Arab nations yet again - why should Israel return ANY land after Israel was attacked? They shouldn't - it will only be used to try to eradicate the Jewish state. There are over 22 Muslim states in the Middle East - your telling me Muslims have no place to live? It's a blatant lie.
Last but not least - make another aggressive state in the Middle East that's sole purpose is to kill others and attack any form of government that isn't Muslim?? No thanks.
The rest of you liberal heart bleeders had better get it through your skulls - you can't placate them, give them an inch and they will try to take more and more. Facts tend to be one-sided.
The PLO and Hamas, just to name two, are terrorist organizations created by neighboring Arab states for the sole purpose of attacking and destroying Israel. Hamas's 'charter' specifically calls for the destruction of Israel. Yes, Israel has aggressively defended themselves. Considering that they are surrounded by countries dedicated to destroying them, you really can blame them.
20 years ago, the Clinton administration convinced Israel to agree to a peace plan that required Israel to make significant concessions. The Palestinians, to the surprise of exactly no one, refused to accept it, and they will never accept anything that doesn't include the complete destruction of Israel. Peace is not part of their vocabulary. Only Hate Israel, Destroy Israel.
Palestinians talk of "occupied land," and "the occupation" as if the occupied land belongs to them. It doesn't. Palestine NEVER belonged to Arabs exclusively. It belongs to Jews, too. The land is disputed. Israel has it. The Palestinians want it. But, that does not make it theirs.

This was a blood curdling massacre of dozens of innocent of men, women and children who had nothing to do with the Arabs' "disappointment of their political and national aspirations". I find your sympathy towards these murderers as well as your general choice of words appalling.
There are loads of reasons to think that the attacks will *never* stop until the settlements are disbanded, for several reasons [..]
Removing the settlements won't stop the attacks on civilians (although it will stop attacks on settlements), but it is at least a start towards a solution.
Very funny. Now seriously, there was no peace before the settlements, why do you think there would be peace after they are disbanded? Exactly what sort of 'solution' do you think performing an ethnic cleansing of Jews will achieve? A final one perhaps?
It's not as if Israeli politicians are immune to the hatred though: rabbi Dov Lior is at least as big a wanker as any member of Hamas.
Rabi Dov Lior is not a politician and holds no legal power. Hamas are the governing body of Gaza. Your comparison is a testament to your ignorance and hatred.
