A proposal has been put forward claiming that an independent chairperson would be better able to "oversee the executives of the company, improve corporate governance, and set a more accountable, pro-shareholder agenda." The idea for Zuckerberg's board ousting comes from Facebook shareholders who are members of the consumer watchdog group SumOfUs. The organization bills itself as an online community that campaigns to hold corporations accountable on a variety of global issues such as climate change, workers' rights, discrimination, human rights, corruption, and corporate power grab.

No, Facebook's users are its victims. They hand over much more of themselves than if they had paid. Look at how much Facebook has worked to keep users on the site. For the users, the hours they spend on Facebook are down the rathole.

And what does all this give society at large? Facebook is one of the biggest causes of today's polarization. Its friend Twitter is not far behind in this regard.

Mark Zuckerberg is officially the worst person in the world. He's even worse than Bill Gates, which is something I never thought we'd see. I wholeheartedly endorse bashing him in the face with a baseball bat until Facebook ceases to exist.
