Al Gore Sells $29.5 Million In Apple Stock (appleinsider.com)
An anonymous reader quotes a report from AppleInsider: A U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday reveals Apple board member Al Gore this week sold 215,437 shares of Apple stock (APPL) worth about $29.5 million. Gore's stock sale, which was accomplished in multiple trades ranging from $136.4 to $137.12 on Wednesday, nearly matches a $29.6 million purchase of Apple shares made in 2013. When Gore bought the stock batch more than four years ago, he exercised Apple's director stock option to acquire 59,000 shares at a price of about $7.48 per share, costing him approximately $441,000. This was pre-split AAPL, so shares were valued at $502.68 each. Following today's sale, Gore owns 230,137 shares of Apple stock worth $31.5 million at the end of trading on Friday.
The Global Warming Carbon Credit Kickback Scam is not progressing as he thought it would...
Director stock options are another unjust method of the one percent to take from everyone else while adding no value.
I would like to ask what is "unjust" about a private corporation's private compensation plans for its private employees?
> But one way or another, we will pay for it.
How exactly does paying Al Gore and his partner hundreds of millions of dollars help anyone other than Al Gore and his partner?
Let me answer that for you. When you let the famous face of the global warming movement run a huge scam, using global warming fears to make a law putting hundreds of millions of dollars in his pocket, it makes it look like the whole global warming thing is a scam. When you defend Gore's carbon credit scam / kickback arrangement, it shows that you are completely untrustworthy and people should disregard what you say.
What would have been good for the planet would have been for environmentalists to call Gore out on his scam immediately, showing that they value truth and honesty. Had liberals put Gore in prison, they would have some credibility when they talk about the dangers of global warming / climate change / the coming human-triggered ice age. Supporting and defending a scam like Gore's carbon credit exchange (he passed a law requiring companies to buy carbin credits from the exchange - which he owned) just makes you look like a scammer.
Doesn't that make this..... I dunno, ironic seems inadequate.
Al Gore used to fly around the world in a private jet to give his talks about global warming; he had his SUV running idle during the whole speech to keep the A/C going, while the invitations he sent mentioned that people should use mass transit to save the environment; and many of his estates spend more energy than the Pentagon.
The only question here is why the fuck would anyone consider him for anything serious. Him and Clinton are doing more damage to the liberals image than Trump and Palin do to the conservatives.
lucm, indeed.
