FCC Chairman Slams Trump Team's Proposal To Nationalize 5G (axios.com)

Democracy means the majority is the tyrant.

Government Monopoly means that the only action is to do what the government says you must do.

Being a Monopoly does mean you will not have competing products to choose from.

The worst possible case is Government Monopoly with Net Neutrality, where you'll have under-powered network with everyone wanting 4K Netflix videos on their phones, wondering why they can't even text anymore.
