Facebook's VPN Service Onavo Protect Collects Personal Data -- Even When It's Switched Off (medium.com)
Security researcher Will Strafach took a look at Onavo Protect, a newly released VPN service from Facebook: I found that Onavo Protect uses a Packet Tunnel Provider app extension, which should consistently run for as long as the VPN is connected, in order to periodically send the following data to Facebook (graph.facebook.com) as the user goes about their day:
When user's mobile device screen is turned on and turned off.
Total daily Wi-Fi data usage in bytes (Even when VPN is turned off).
Total daily cellular data usage in bytes (Even when VPN is turned off).
Periodic beacon containing an "uptime" to indicate how long the VPN has been connected.

I know you are all pretty smart, so please give me advice.
I just got another 6 months birth conrtol and I sat it on the table when I got home because I was in a hurry. Well I forgot about it so it was still there when we left today and locked the dog and cat in the kitchen with the birds. I'm guessing the cat knocked it off the table because he was sleeping up there when I got in. My female eclectus got into my birth control pills and crushed several of them up while I was out of the room. I know she had at least two because of the crushed tablets left behind, but I'm not sure how much more. The label says the pills are drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol tablets 3mg/0.03mg.
Has anybody had this happen? Or do you know if this is enough to actually hurt her. It's been about 24 hours now. She seemed normal this morning before work and when I came home she seems calmer than usual. She didn't eat much today. I feed her a mix of pellets and seeds. I only see some hulls of sunflower seeds broken. She ate a little more of her veggies which was broccoli, cauliflower and a grape. I'm freaking out at this point. Please give me any advice you can.
Thank you.
