NSA Purges Hundreds of Millions of Call and Text Records (nytimes.com)

schwit1 shares a report: The National Security Agency has purged hundreds of millions of records logging phone calls and texts that it had gathered from American telecommunications companies since 2015, the agency has disclosed. It had realized that its database was contaminated with some files the agency had no authority to receive. The agency began destroying the records on May 23, it said in a statement. Officials had discovered "technical irregularities" this year in its collection from phone companies of so-called call record details, or metadata showing who called or texted whom and when, but not what they said. The agency had collected the data from a system it created under the USA Freedom Act. Congress enacted that law in 2015 to end and replace a once-secret program that had systematically collected Americans' domestic calling records in bulk. The National Security Agency uses the data to analyze social links between people in a hunt for hidden associates of known terrorism suspects.

That seems like alot of trouble to go to just to unsuccessfully hide Moscow Donald's collusion with Russia's attack on America.

Anything damaging to Trump is immediately leaked and spread to do maximum harm to his reputation. Major MSM outlets like CNN don't even fact check this type of data any more because they're so desperate in their attacks. Like howler monkeys, they just keep flinging shit hoping some of it will stick. If such a tape existed, you better believe it would be thrown in the public eye to turn everyone against him as soon as possible. That this has not happened very strongly suggests no such tape exists.

They have nothing on him, so they make up bullshit. Ever notice how all Mueller's investigation news spreads disinformation by disguising conjecture and hearsay as facts? Everything is always "might have", "could have", "possibly", or "may have". It's because they don't have any proof of any of the claims.

The public is easily duped by such trickery and since they see the same lie repeated to them over and over, coming from what they believe to be a reputable source, they figure it must be true. The propaganda works on the weaker minds. Unfortunately for the corrupt shadow government though, many people are starting to see through the lies because the craziness is reaching monumental proportions and it's clashing with too much of the reality we see around us. They got greedy and started telling lies that even the average person has trouble believing.

Very believable, if even one of those call records might be a Trump call he did not report. Destroy all the records to mask the destruction of one.

Or more likely cover the tracks of the illegal use of the NSA data to try and frame a Presidential candidate and a duly elected President now that the bogus investigation is falling apart.
