Google Debunks Trump's Claim It Censored His State of the Union Address (theverge.com)
An anonymous reader quotes a report from The Verge: President Donald Trump intensified his criticism of Google today, posting a native video of unknown origin to his Twitter account this afternoon claiming the search giant stopped promoting the State of the Union (SOTU) address on its homepage after he took office. It turns out the video he posted is not only misleading, but also contains what appears to be a fake screenshot of the Google homepage on the day in question. It has since been viewed more than 1.5 million times. In a statement given to The Verge, a Google spokesperson clarifies that the company promoted neither former President Barack Obama nor Trump's inaugural SOTU addresses in 2009 and 2017, respectively. That's because they were not technically State of the Union addresses, but "addresses to a joint session" of Congress, a tradition set back in 1993 so that new presidents didn't have to immediately deliver SOTU addresses after holding office for just a few weeks. Google resumed promoting Obama's SOTU address in 2010 and continued to do so through 2016, as he held office for all six of those years.
With regards to the 2018 SOTU, Google says it did in fact promote it on its homepage. "On January 30th 2018, we highlighted the livestream of President Trump's State of the Union on the google.com homepage," reads Google's statement. "We have historically not promoted the first address to Congress by a new President, which is not a State of the Union address. As a result, we didn't include a promotion on google.com for this address in either 2009 or 2017."

First, Google is so liberal biased it doesn't even defend that position. It censors you-tube and de-platforms any one with a political ideology its C suite has an issue with (Conservative). Trump has ever right to go after Google, Facebook and any other media company that that proports to be unbiased, while being just the opposite, especially the most powerful media company in the world right now.

If you think Trump being president is cause for pain, you have never experienced anything which approaches real pain. The pain I speak of is the sort of pain you experience when a loved one dies. Trump being president is not even on the pain scale compared to truly painful experiences.
In the real world, where adults live, we all have to deal with things we don't like. And we don't always get what we want and things are not always how we think they should be. If you think that sort of situation equates to pain, you just might be one of the most pathetic human beings I have ever encountered, and I am dead serious when I say this. I have to agree. I'm registered independent who's voted with the Dems for several election cycles. I couldn't, and wouldn't again vote for Hillary - and a socialist isn't an option. It seemed the hysteria to get a vagina elected to the oval office was more important than any other factor no matter how flawed the individual
Secondly, I thought give the GOP what they want and their true colors will show. The GOP claims to be stewards of a balanced budget- as soon as they got the chance, they ran up another trillion in deficit in handouts to the rich. They're eviscerating environmental and civil protections.
The big picture, this is the America we deserve. Flat-earthers, global warming deniers, environmental pillaging capitalists, corporations profiteering of our personal information, the trashing of civil rights for "law enforcement", crumbling infrastructure, failing education and healthcare systems... our vote for corporate pawns and worship of trickle down economics brought us here. now we live with the consequences of mass shortsightedness.
