Robyn Denholm Takes Over the Reigns of Tesla From Elon Musk (reuters.com)
azcoyote shares a report from Reuters: Tesla director Robyn Denholm, a telecoms executive who has worked for Toyota, has been promoted to chairwoman of the electric car company, tasked with regulating billionaire Elon Musk's regime after months of turbulence. An Australian accountant, Denholm is currently finance chief at telecoms firm Telstra and replaces Musk after he was forced to relinquish the role as part of a deal to head off charges of fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
While she will resign from Telstra to take the role full-time, some analysts expressed concern that she may not be clearly enough removed from Musk to rein in the billionaire's public outbursts and bring more order to Tesla. Denholm, 55, has been an independent director of Tesla since 2014 and the head of its audit committee. She was paid almost $5 million, mainly in stock options, by the company last year, making her the highest remunerated of its board members. "I personally hope Denholm renames it Reynholm Industries," Slashdot reader azcoyote adds.

.. of Denholm Industries? Oh dear, I've seen how this story ends.
R.I.P. Telsa Customer Support and 'premium product for a premium price'.
Telstra.. A once great 'if you pay for it(and you will), we'll make sure you get what you want' company.. Now is just over priced..
That's Reins, guys. That expression originates with what you have to control a horse.
If you're a zombie and you know it, bite your friend!
Seriously, some editor somewhere must have at least heard of the concept of riding a horse.
"Takes Over the Reigns of Tesla" - falsely implying that Elon is no longer running the company on a day to day basis? No need for clickbait headlines like this.

Funding secured. Pedos.
I think that she was renumerated from number six to number one
don't get the joke? then look up The Prisoner
Seriously, that would have fixed 90% of the stuff that got him into trouble.
There's still serious questions about working conditions, but that's not what's getting them into trouble.
It's turtles all the way down.
ON YOUR WAY OUT THE DOOR!
Looking forward to the inevitable Tesla/Telstra malapropisms in her statements.
Corruption is convincing someone that the selfless ideal is the same as their selfish ideal.
I mean, she's going from Telstra to Tesla? That's just removing two letters and moving one at a different place in the string.

Reigns - what that German woman with the gold hat does.
Reins - things for steering a horse.
Rains - what it does in Manchester all the sodding time.
There are minerals smarter than some folk.
Confucius say, "Find worm in apple - bad. Find half a worm - worse."
Definitely not.
Chosen on her own merits.
And not her genitalia.
Definitely not.
The best candidate.
Definitely.
Didnt even know she was a woman.
Pathetic.
Can someone explain me the joke about Reynholm Industries?
HP -> Carle Fiorina -> Crashed
Yahoo -> Mellissa Mayer -> Crashed
etc.
Watch as Tesla crashes and burns in a gigantic Lithium fire!
That's OK, Musk will just launch Rockets and usher in the next phase of human colonization! Yay!
Tesla's have reigns?!
Telstra has the same reputation as Comcast, Century Link, etc. IOW, they are a junk company. While Tesla has issues, they continually address them, and make things better. The Customer Service that we have had at Littleton (and denver's) service center has blown away what my wife got from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Honda, and Toyota. The thought of cvustomer service becoming WORSE than these is bothersome.
I prefer the "u" in honour as it seems to be missing these days.
The chairman of the board does not âhold the reignsâ, but, the CEO who does hold them answers to her

Musk screwed the short sellers. Are these animals "investors"? I'd say NO, they are speculators betting on a company's demise.
They typically foster negative rumors to drive stock prices down. Musk did the opposite.
Is her job to clean the chair of the chairman?
One character has to be deleted, but I don't think it's the 'g'
Since it's high level control, and not day-to-day, it might make more sense to be "reign". That is, wielding executive power, especially in the manner of a monarch. Since most monarchs are high level, not day-to-day, it fits well. For instance, Queen Elizabeth reigns over the UK by appointing the PM, who does the work. Similarly, the Chairman appoints the CEO who does the work.
Your ad here. Ask me how!
I can see it right before my eyes. Next time in the garage the mechanic will ask, if i have tried turning it off and on again.
It's sad when I have to look up to GM, but Tesla has managed to run a far less scrupulous company than any other auto manufacturer. Everyone deserves to be able to repair their own stuff, but the roadblocks Tesla puts up make any other auto manufacturer look like a saint by comparison.
Stop buying their junk.
Poor Robyn Denholm. Sir. Richard Branson figured out that he wants to be nowhere near the "Hyperloop" when people figure out what a disaster that is. Tesla is loosing as much as 30 executives a month (that means rats jumping ship people) and they hand her this disaster about to happen.
Reins
They're owned by the australian "liberal" party, which is really just a corporate plant like the opposing "labor" party, and a pack of dickheads run by the increasingly insane hard right.
Telstra is run for profit and with poor customer service, poor service levels and a mass of corrupt behavior hidden in plain sight but everybody gets paid off with free data when they have grounds for a court case. And when they do go ahead, they tend to just quietly go away after the initial media reports of such actions.
They are part of the corporate takeover of the whole fucking planet.
we're a testbed for creeping fascism, just as an example of how bad things are getting, the law is increasingly interpreted literally to the advantage of whichever side has more money, disabled people are being bashed on camera by police, there''s 200,000 people coming here every year despite the fact that there's 700,000 locals out of work at any given point who are constantly guilt tripped and shamed by the rest of us as a scapegoat for our problems, I don't even get a choice of utility companies any more.
tl;dr the money pit country known as "australia" that's currently completely run by corporations has sent out one of their spawn to assist with their nasty friends plans overseas, tesla confirmed for planned destruction or nerfing to the point of uselessness.
Did you still not understand how 'bankrupt' works in English?
When Ford bankrupt who?
Oh you mean when Ford go bankrupt. Lucy native speakers will understand anyway, they are used to your Indian version of English.
Or are you Ivan?
