Implementing Artificial Neural Networks

Floydian Slip wrote to us with the updated story about a company called Axeon that is aiming to use the concept of artificial neural networks in a processor called the "Learning Processor." It's an array of 256 8-bit [RISC] chips in parallel. The company is aiming in a lot of places - mobile communications, inertial navigation and image analysis.
