I took the time to track down the paper and read it in full I might understand the whole thing years from now but right now I have a few questions you might be able to help with.

The part actually intrigues me, according to the paper they are generating electric fields from the spin of the electron that is over unity. To me this would indicate they have potentially found an efficient way to transform heat energy into electrical energy. This to me would have been a story of worth if it had depth.
