The US military even operates its own court system that isn't based on Constitutional law. If you had any doubts of there being under a separate system.
And all this statement really says is you never had the balls to actually serve your country. First week of basic you get a history lesson on why the military is different than civilian life. I get it, though... you're just someone who doesn't want any of the responsibilities that come with the freedoms you're using, and you've never sacrificed a single thing for this country.
Hint: if two people are at the same coordinates, yet one is in daytime, the other is in nighttime.... odds are it has something to do with the cord system, or them not reading it right, and they're actually on the opposite sides of the world. Just saying. It's interesting; i've been playing online games since some game from AOHell back in the 90's, yet i don't seem to be as jaded and whiny as some new players. You'd think that'd be reversed.
Yeh, some of the reviews point out the multi-player part, which is possible but the devs say would be extremely rare.... and morphed that into what we consider MMO multiplayer, where there's hundreds of people within throwing distance. Anyone who didn't realize that two people, starting at random places in a universe where visiting each planet for 1 second would still take billions of years IN REAL TIME, almost would NEVER meet.... doesn't have much common sense. It's possible you could meet someone else, but the odds are, well, astronomical. That said, there was a system within jump radius from my starting planet that had been discovered by someone else.... however, given the juvenile names he chose for his system, i decided against meeting them.
A decent amount of the complaints are from lack of common sense, and people coming into the game with preconceived notions that were wrong... and no, not all of that was because of the devs. Another issue i've seen in complaints is people saw things in the per-release vids, then complained they didn't see the same thing when they started. Back to the BILLIONS OF YEARS in real time to see all the planets.... every planet is not going to have the exact same animals and such, yet these guys complain they don't get to see everything on their first planet that exists in the universe. Seriously.... that's well beyond simply lacking common sense.
The game can definitely use more activity in it, but some of the whining is just that, whining.
I actually didn't check the alt-tab.... not something i do with this game, so it escaped me attention. I like the drones though... it's a nice source of titanium early on (the three planets in my starting system didn't have any i could find). It would be nice if there was a better ground mapping system. And a shipboard camera angle that looked down.... i can't seem to find a ship that lets me visually survey what i'm flying over (landing on the tops of trees sucks).
Well, considering that 4 out of 4 of the problems you posted have nothing to do with the graphics card, i'd suggest the problem with your game has nothing to do with the game itself, and has more to do with the poorly connected nut behind the keyboard. Take a wrench to the head of that nut, and i'm sure that after a while things will become clearer for you.
In your case, however, i think i see the actual problem.... from the sounds of it you've never, ever, in your entire life, played a computer game before. Not sure what advice i can do to help make your game better, other than maybe you should stick to tiddly winks or pick-up sticks.
Sadly i already commented on this thread before reading your post. You deserve modding up. This new "theory" sounds like something on of those social sciences would come up with: really stupid conclusions off no data.
The big problems seem to be had by those with top of the line systems and who are jacking their settings to max. I have an older machine/graphics card, and i'm not having any problem at all... other than getting really cold when night rolls around (although i actually do think that in this game it's a feature, not a bug... (yes, place obligatory "fuck Sony" here)).
This is not a fast paced shoot 'em up game. I just spent ~ 2 hours figuring out the controls, how to repair my ship, and gathering the materials to do that. Along the way i found a language stone, an alien artifact plaque (i haven't got too yet), and made friends with 2 animals... one of which ran around digging up some materials that i hadn't found just laying around.
My only annoyance so far (other than almost freezing my nads off at night), is that you have to exit your ship to save game (apparently). So if you get in, construct a few things, then log out... well... you'll get to practice making things all over again when you log in.
So my suggestion is: if you're having trouble, turn your settings down a little.
Leon Panetta, who was Obama’s defense secretary from July 2011 to February 2013, wrote in his 2014 book, “Worthy Fights,” that as the deadline neared “it was clear to me — and many others — that withdrawing all our forces would endanger the fragile stability” in Iraq. As a result, the Obama administration sought to keep 5,000 to 10,000 U.S. combat troops in Iraq, as Sullivan said in his statement.
But negotiations with Iraq broke down in October 2011 over the issue of whether U.S. troops would be shielded from criminal prosecution by Iraqi authorities. Panetta wrote that Maliki insisted that a new agreement providing immunity to U.S. forces “would have to be submitted to the Iraqi parliament for its approval,” which Panetta said “made reaching agreement very difficult.”
Yes, Bush punted and Obama didn't want to take away all reconstruction aid to force Iraq to capitulate. But cut to the chase.... BUSH negotiated and signed the force agreement that mandated troops be removed, and while his people HOPED it could be renegotiated, that doesn't absolve him from negotiating and signing it.
There's a lot of worthless fucking partisans out there who want to "misremember" that Bush got us into this whole fucking mess a long time before Obama was even thinking about being on the scene. I can't tell sometimes if they're all just natural born fucking liars, or their simply too fucking stupid to use their brains.
Of course we've heard of the El Nino. The El Nino, the Pinto, and the Santa Mary were the three ships Jesus used to bring his dinosaurs to the US to set up his all white gun club.
I get it, you didn't give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, and you're certainly not giving up now.
Yes, but..... that shitloads of physical evidence still won't make it "true" to complete fucking uneducated morons who think their ignorant as shit opinions are somehow right regardless of reality. It should, but lets face it, no one's ever gone broke betting on the sheer stupidity of the human species in general, and anti-intellectual miscreants in specific.
Windows 10 is going to be the new drive up window... it looks inviting and nice, you get up to the window, get your bag of food and drive away.... then when you've blocks away, you've found it's not what you ordered and they've fucked you on the ass. And they don't care, they know you're going to be blocks way, so they fuck you. That's windows 10. They've come out with a decent idea, to have an OS that simply will be continually updated instead of replaced every 2 year, but now they're going to be fucking assholes and force you into things you don't fucking want.
A couple years years ago some asshole from Microsoft wrote a piece complaining that people still treated them like someone who'd killed their father.... this is why, they still fucking act that way. Dear Microsoft....fuck Cortana.
Normal people might thing the lesson here is: "don't be a criminal," or maybe even "do the crime, do the time."

when it comes out on betamax

PC patch is already live, got it this morning. Didn't change anything for me, my game was already running perfectly fine.
You... don't.. understand! It's not... his... ship... it's mine!!

For millions of years humans couldn't fly at all.
No, we've always been able to fly. It was the landing without being squashed on the valley floor we had trouble with the first few million years.
Bonobos and chimps are just as evolved as we are.
Don't be ridiculous, look around... they're clearly far more advanced than we are.

They probably view us as a plague.

You say that glibly, but YOU try putting all those damn candles on the cake next year!

So now, on top of missing dark matter, we're missing white matter too? Frak. Who the hell is in charge of keeping track of where this shit goes?!!!

I thought the past tense of "bet" was: "Aw geez, Guido's going to be after me with a baseball bat again."
See, i read parents post as: "help, my meds aren't working anymore."
But it does just go to show, that a little intelligence goes a long way.... towards parting complete idiots with a nice little tidy sum of cash.
I thought it was Cranial-Rectal Inversion Syndrome. http://media.photobucket.com/u...
