    Between this and the Google book search IP lawsuits, Google is gambling big time and geek opinions on the legitimacy of IP law and how it should apply won't mean crap in a court of law WRT Google.

    Huh? Gears of War is just the first (or second, depending on your view of Oblivion) AAA Xbox360 title coming out (and it looks pretty damn tight). Halo 3 is just the ace in the hole. It would take a pooch-screw of biblical proportions for Bungie Studios to cock-up selling millions of copies and, in turn, millions of 360s.

    Too bad Billy Boy indeed: he's going to need to find some new charities to give away his soon-to-be-growing fortune.

    * The USSR, when it existed, several times suggested getting rid of all nuclear weapons. The US rejected their proposals.
    The reason the USSR wanted to get rid of all nuclear weapons is because is cost them an ass-load of money for R&D and maintenance of the stockpile... they saw that they couldn't keep up in the arms race and survive economically. So, like all things, it came down to money... not because the Soviets all of the sudden became members of Greenpeace.
