With the mobile push to India/Africa a couple of vendors have started to push "Lite" versions of their Android apps. Although not available via the Google Play store in the US/UK they still work fine and dandy if side-loaded.

That's am immediate uninstall then. I'm personally not that fussed about being tracked, it's more a concern on battery drain from an app that shouldn't be doing it!
Whenever I've had this as an issue (and enough friends have complained that their machine "got slow") I've found it's almost easier to just wipe the machine and start again...
Yes, reviews are still relevant. I don't actually read reviews online though, I still go to my prefered PC Mag, which has reviewers that I trust, who get paid for reviewing games, not some guy blogging about it.
