Err, the Woz gave him a computer to build the business around. Without Wozniak Jobs would have had nothing to sell and without the computer that Wozniak designed to generate income the Mac would have failed.
Where does the Constitution allow having an Air Force? Even a standing Army is barely constitutional, defence was supposed to be mainly by militia (and navy) which was one of the main reasons for the second amendment.
The Americans gave us the finger after 9/11. At that the first thing Bush did when getting into office was give us the finger. (American presidents traditionally, after thanking the American people, thank Canada first as their best friend and largest trading partner. Bush totally ignored Canada and promoted Mexico to #1 trading partner without any basis in reality. And even though Canada sent more help then any other country after 9/11, including taking many Americans into our homes when the Americans were too chicken shit to allow airplanes to fly in their airspace and they needed somewhere to land. Bush never even said thank you when thanking every one else.
Assuming you're not too old and healthy and well financed you can walk from Boston to London. You can go approximately north over the Arctic ice cap and back south through Scandinavia, etc ending walking through the channel tunnel or you can go the long way via Alaska and the Bering straight when it is frozen over. As you said they are just different scales, one a matter of maybe an hour, the other a few years.
In the case of Money for Nothing and Canada that was a radio industry association that banned it. I know the station I listen to started playing it almost every hour and a couple of days later they reversed course. Our radio stations just get told to play a certain percentage of Canadian content:)
Be OK if the source was actually released to the public domain but I'd guess that peoples pack-rat habits would kick in and they'd keep the source secret just in-case a use materializes.
Can't they just get a new copyright on the restored print? With a short copyright term this would motivate them to restore and rerelease. And their archives are theirs whether they are copyrighted or not as they are physical possessions.
My browser has a location bar that does exactly the same thing plus includes search. And you're right it is an excellent feature when used to it though a privacy feature would be nice.
And yet they managed top make it slower then Mozilla or at least by the time I tried it, when still Phoenix it already felt slower and was almost as big as a download. Now the suite, which lives on as SeaMonkey, still feels faster and in the past I've bench marked it loading Slashdot and Firefox would spike the CPU for close to twice as long. Now neither one seems to spike the CPU.
The free market has given us huge government which has been terrible for personal freedom. It is always more profitable to buy laws then to compete in other ways so the natural outcome of pure free market is where we are.
If the goal was only to kill the plants they could have used a herbicide with a lower LD50 value that was just as effective such as 2-4-D. Instead they chose to use one of the few herbicides with a high LD50 value.
If you worry about the addicts, outlaw tobacco and alcohol. Let's not be hypocritical here, ok?
Don't forget coffee and all the other caffeine containing beverages, very addicting and deadly if too much is taken. Then there are the dangerous drugs like aspirin and Tylenol, killing 3000 odd people a year in the States. And dieing from Acetaminophen poisoning is one of the worst ways to die. Total liver failure and it is usually little kids that overdose.
As someone who owns a small business, things have just got worse for me in the last few years. The conservatives just seem to be big business friendly and big business seems to want to take my rights away.
Do what I usually do, vote for the Rhino's or the marijuana party or the pirate party. Just actually vote to make it clear that you don't support any of the main parties.
Do you always vote for the most fiscally irresponsible party? Or do you just like a party that reduces individual rights and wants to enlarge the prison population because the crime rate isn't dropping fast enough? This is what always gets me about libertarians, they preach freedom and vote the opposite.
One difference is that in a parliamentary system, if the budget (or any money bill) doesn't pass the government falls and the people usually get to vote.
The conservatives have been running ads around here for months telling us about all the free money available to us. I hate to think of how much money has been wasted on the ad campaign by these assholes who claim to be financially conservative yet pissed away a surplus by cutting taxes and increasing spending. Taxes should have been slowly cut as the national debt was decreased without massive spending increases.
Sadly, the last fiscal conservative we've had in Ottawa was named Paul Martin - a Liberal. The one that balanced the books, but was awful politician (the guy wanted to be too honest and people got confused!). But in the last 20 years, all the conservatives have been racking up Canada's debt at record pace and Harper beat records once more with 56 billion deficit..... *sigh*
This is the problem. People vote conservative because they claim to be fiscally responsible whereas they have a long record of boosting the debt. This government has squandered a budget surplus and turned it into a deficit, spending money irresponsibly. Unluckily people do not look at their actions, just listen to their lies.
In the case of Vancouver it would probably be to go to work as affordable (only 3 or 4 hundred thousand dollars) housing is 50 miles away with no transit worth considering.

If you live close to the northern border you can pick up Canadian analog broadcasts. Perhaps the same in the south with Mexican broadcasts?

SeaMonkey, status bar, normal menu, and for me, actually quicker then Firefox.
It's not that money can buy happiness, just that the lack of it can cause a lot of unhappiness.

Usually only money bills are confidence bills, but you're right, the PM can declare any bill a confidence bill.

For most ridings it is a 2 party system. Just the two parties varies from riding to riding.
