"Kobayashi Maru is the name of a Class III Neutronic Fuel Carrier in a training exercise in the Star Trek fictional universe. In the exercise, the "Kobayashi Maru" appears to be faced with a no-win scenario. The ship's name is occasionally used among Star Trek fans or those familiar to describe such situations."
Maybe Myth I & Myth II were not jaw dropping, but the gameplay was excellent, the multiplayer a lot of fun (th), and the technology at the time impressive and innovative enough (great physics engine) and made sense in a tactical game.
Granted, Bungie's FPS always sucked. But more than that, they were oversold. I remember how Oni was supposed to be a revolution. Of course, after being fed with such claims for months, when you actually get your hands on it, it sucks even more.
Myth III sucked too, but this one was developped by Mumbo Jumbo after Take 2 bought the rights to the series.
Yes, you've missed one x-factor : the direct x factor.
Most of the "killer apps" games scheduled for the next years are currently being developped for DX9 or 10.
Fact : "All bids on eBay are binding so you should make sure you know how much you can afford first."

We had that in France years ago. We called it the Minitel.
In case you didn't get the reference (I didn't) :

Yeah it can run windows, and it's also the first Mac to get a DirectX10 compatible GPU (Nvida 8600 here) which could be a good thing for gamers.
I've been playing Counter-Strike : Source for ten years already?!
