  1. The I-Pod Museum in NYC on A Recap of the iPod's Life · · Score: 2, Interesting

If you ever have the chance to visit Tekserve, which is an Apple only store on 23rd Street in New York City, you'll notice they have a small 'I-Pod Museum'. It's just one glass case, but it features one of every single I-pod, even the limited edition models such as the U2 Ipod. It's pretty interesting to see the original first generation Ipod next to the newest video ones, they seem enormous. The evolution from pod to Ipod is pretty astounding when you consider how closely they were released to each other, and howmuch sleeker they have become model by model. It's quite a top notch engineering job. If you're ever in Manhattan, TekServe is definetly worth a visit if you're a Mac persob, for the Ipod's and everything else they have on display. As a disclaimer,I'm not affiliated with Tek Serve in any way, just an industrial designer who enjoys seeing progress in the flesh.

  2. No Good For Working Folks on Youths No Longer Predominant on MySpace · · Score: 2, Insightful

I'm not sure why anyone over 35, or even over 25 for that matter would have a myspace page anymore, as nearly every employer, at least here in NYC will check your emaill adress for a myspace page. I understand that there is nothing inherently wrong with a page, there may be something on your page or a friends that an employer finds unavory. I have personally not hired someone because they mentioned using drugs on their page. Most employers are much more conservative than I am, especially the corps. Sad but true.

  3. Inefficieny is the real rathole on George Lucas To Quit Movie Business · · Score: 1

If Lucas or anyone else can produce 50 tv movies for the price of one Hollywood blockbuster, that would seem to say that Hollywood is bloated and inefficient in how they get things done. That, not web distro, is the real rathole.
