You do realize you can sue a company for Deliberate Violations Of Your Human Rights, don't you? A scanning 3D camera staring at you, your wife, your kids, and personal belongings in the car with a realtime data-uplink to a remote datacenter is a SEVERE violation of your basic right to privacy. There is NO WAY car manufacturers can get away with this one without either a) 77% of consumers not wanting a new car anymore or b) getting sued to hell in 10 digit class-action lawsuits.
By analyzing a few simple ratios/indicators like shoulder width, neck width, head size, head-to-body proportions, jawline, nose length, forehead curvature and so forth. The fact that they want to do this is a dead giveaway that they are using 3D CAMERAS. You'll be surveilled not 1990s 2D CCTV style, but with an effective realtime 3D SCANNER that can also read things like your expression, mood, wakeness/tiredness and so on. Horrible shit to have inside your car, staring at you.
What makes you think that you'll even be able to OWN a car made by these motherfuckers in the future? How long before these douchebags go Adobe/Autodesk on us, and cars become FORCED RENTALS that you can RENT and not BUY, just like some software today? Because THAT is how they can actually force 24/7 in-car-surveillance on people. Its a RENTAL, so you can't take any of their electronics out of the car you drive. And yes I agree, these are COMMUNIST MOTHERFUCKERS at heart. No self-respecting capitalist or industrialist would have dared put REMOTE SURVEILLANCE inside a production car.
"Everybody is making money from people's most intimate sensitive private data! Hey! Lets do it to them realtime-cloud connected in the cramped interior of a car, 1984 style!!!" Fuck you and your 1980s technology metal cans on inflated rubber wheels. Call me when you figure out how to make a high-speed crash survivable, solve the aquaplaning problem, replace the decades old steering wheel with something better, or figure out how to make an actually usable flying car before I turn 77 and get Alzheimers... What a 3rd rate industry...
Gamers have been served such derivative sub-par shit as games for 18 years - crap like StarWars Battlefront - that utter mediocrity like Fortnite excites them big time. I'm glad I was around in the first golden years of computer gaming. Today's games look nice but play like a 5 year old designed them.
Facebook employees are even MORE GENIUS than the geniuses employed at Apple stores. OF COURSE they get their QA right. Didn't you watch the amazing Hollywood film about the Social Network and all the GENIUS that went into creating it??? It takes a GENIUS to fool billions of people around the world into giving up their most personal data in exchange for - erm - nothing really.
I'm not talking about Terms Of Service. I'm talking about sweeping "hate speech laws" - such as those Emanuel Macron is pushing for - that could be used against anyone and anything and any kind of video of text based website for just about any arbitrary reason. The European Union loves this kind of stuff - what Atheist Progressive-Socialist Europeans express is ALWAYS "love speech", and anything that deviates from it is ALWAYS "hate speech that will bring about another Hitler invasion of Europe, make children cry, bla bla bla...". TOS is not the problem. Hard laws that can be ABUSED to shut down any and all alternatives to mainstream hot air news-analysis-make-believe is the problem. Calling something your opponent or adversary posits "hate speech" is the sneakiest and easiest way to avoid a real debate. Just press the HATE SPEECH GO AWAY BUTTON and everything is great again in your Atheist Progressive-Socialist European paradise.
No no no... All that stuff is being done to you and me for OUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING, you see? Its for our own good! The system CARES about us. It always has. That's why they put nice stuff like DRM in our games and media discs. So WE benefit and GROW as human beings! =) (Cue the Soviet propaganda music and Red Army choir singing "Its AAALLLLL for the GOOOOOD of the PEEEEOPPPLE".)
What you call "real world news and analysis" is puff after puff of hot air. Especially publications like the Economist. All sorts of seriously, seriously nasty crap happens in the world from 2000 to 2018, with every hard-won right ever being eroded, and your mainstream media pretends that it happens "for no particular reason at all". Its all coincidences, you see? Nobody did it, nobody is at fault, nobody caused it to happen, nobody profited. Its just "the way the world is unfortunately". You get a few minutes of coverage for each events over 3 days, and then everything is forgotten again. Are you surprised that people are turning to "alternative converage" on various internet platforms? Why is everybody who doesn't buy into your "for 90 IQs news media" a faggot or idiot?
The people tricking you are not children, buddy. They do it in a very smart, very cold and very calculated fashion. Again, keep watching mainstream stuff and you'll continue to think the world is all flowers and white unicorns.
Except of course that those "alternative" platforms will very quickly get shut down with brand new "hate speech" laws. Look what they did to everything from Torrent sites to emulated games sites.
The funniest thing about so-called "Progressives" is that their idea of "progress" is to throw thousands of years of religion, morality, law, civilization, gender identity and social order under the bus, so we can all be retarded gender-fluid dudes walking around with Versace bags who swoon over Hollywood celebrities, call each other "darling" and cream ourselves over Beyond-se's crappy live performances. Even progress 2,000 years ago was more seriously designed and constructed than it is today. Google "Nununuland" and see what you find. Progressives are idiots.
Except that the specific Youtube channel I pointed to has a narrator who is about 100 IQ points above you, dear anonymous coward. You keep watching your CNN...
Its a seriously crappily designed social-media site where every mouse click, every keystroke, every like, every photo upload and probably even your live webcam image and what your (mobile) device's microphone picks up is sold to every advertiser, every crime organization and every government that wants your data. People use Facebook why again? Oh - because Mark Zuckerberg is a really nice guy. (He pointed out that my shoelaces are untied once - I have loved and respected him ever since! Without Mark, I surely would have gone flying on my face!)
What is bugging the hell out of the mainstream media and the companies that own and operate aforementioned media is hard-truth Youtube channels like ACFAU ("A Call For An Uprising") which uncover all sorts of craaazy-nasty stuff about Hollywood, TV producers, music artists and more that are not supposed to be known or discussed. There are "conspiracy" videos about pop stars like Beyonce and Jay-Z that easily reach 4 - 5 million views. A lot of people are beginning to realize that we do live in a very elaborately constructed media-matrix, and that the truth behind the people who control said matrix is, to put it bluntly, horrible. So no, Google should NOT censor Youtube.

Action Taken By AI: Inspired by Wintermute in William Gibson's Neuromancer, AI composes a mighty dub called "Tiananmen Square Boogie", generates a photorealistic-looking 3D video for it and posts it on Youtube. When poorly educated, non tech-literate people encounter a technology like Whatsapp for the first time, the experience feels so "high tech" and "revolutionary" to them, that they are psychologically incapable of understanding that stuff that is messaged to them over said new technology to them may be "malicious, and completely untrue" in nature. They open WhatsApp, somebody on that glitzy high-tech service tells them "pedophiles and rapists are coming to your village - defend your women and children", and these people genuinely think that they need to act to "protect the village". Who is primarily at fault here, of course, is the fucking no-good troll-maniancs who are putting these hoaxes on WhatsApp in the first place. But mark my words as someone with experience of the developing world - not only can undereducated people rarely tell whether what is told to them is factually true or not, whether on TV, internet or in newspapers, but when they encounter fake-information or fake-news on high tech digital messaging services, they are even less able to discern what is true and what is not. Their instinct is to trust what they hear, see or read on digital communication platforms.
So instead, India chose millions of deadly motorcycles that also cause congestion and typically kill the driver on impact? What you wrote does not make one iota of sense...
In case you don't believe me, the first Nano manufacturing plant had to be moved due to farmer protests: "However, the car faced setbacks one after another. Tata Motors had to shift the manufacturing plant of the car from its original site at Singur in West Bengal due to farmers' opposition led by Trinamool Congress to Sanand in Gujarat." So the very people who might have bought a Nano were opposed to it being manufactured at all. How convenient. Source: https://www.huffingtonpost.in/...
Nano was created to cut down on the huge number of motorcycle deaths in India. It was supposed to be a motorcycle priced car that gives you SOME chance of survival (whereas a motorbike in India gives you pretty much none). Which is precisely why Tata was eventually pressured into shutting down the Nano before it evolves into a cheap AND safe ride a few years down the road. That would have cost dozens of other bigger car makers hundreds of thousands or eventually millions of car sales every year. The fact of the matter is that in the world we live in, trying to create something that is cheap AND usable will often get you into trouble.
If Indians said the same thing about you, you'd either run crying to your mommy or call the police. Have some respect for people who are poor and underprivileged.
The Tata Nano was supposed to cut motorcycle accident deaths in India, not compete with BMWs or Audis. In India, quite often multiple poor people will ride on a motorcycle together, sometimes mommy, daddy and three kids, and then die in a horrific way when there is a collision with a car or a roadside barrier. So Tata tried to create a very cheap car to replace those deadly motorcycles. This was about cutting motoring deaths, not creating the next big thing in motoring. In my opinion Nano didn't die at all because of poor sales numbers. The family that owns Tata motors simply got threatened by bigger car manufacturers into killing their sub 4K automobile before it can evolve into a cheap AND relatively safe ride. The big motor companies wouldn't threaten Tata you say? Really? The people who cheated on everything from safety standards to Diesel emissions wouldn't threaten an Indian conglomerate that has nobody protecting it? And where is the rest of the automobile industry's answer to the Tata Nano? There's dozens of poor countries that are pretty much "motorbike death city". The people who can built Peugeots, Seats, VolksWagens and Skoda's can't make a cheap car for these countries? (Hint: They can, but they simply won't. Too risky for their higher priced cars' future sales.)
Imagine that 10 years from now there are 3D printers that print really strong metal parts which can be assembled into a machine gun or similar. Then what? Just because today's printers can only build crappy one-shot plastic guns doesn't mean that tomorrow's printers won't be able to print far more dangerous DIY weapons.
