Seeing as we're on the subject of Symantec I'll clue you all in to what is probably the finest piece of Software they've ever released.
It's called Norton_Removal_Tool.exe, Search for it on their site. It's guaranteed to increase your PC's reliability and speed by several orders of magnitude. It does this by blasting away every trace of their AV / Internet security bloatware.
You'd be wrong sir - you just need the proper audio equipment, just like the kit I bought from a fine gentleman on ebay. My volume can go up to 11, which already helps a great deal, but the real clincher is the wooden knobs - really brings out the full spectrum like you wouldn't believe. I can almost SEE the inaudible sound now, it's so clear!
He also said when I have enough money he'll sell me a SUPER SPECIAL already-listened-in cable, which will make my sound system the envy of the neigbourhood! Nice to know there's still such helpful individuals around.
Whilst I disagree with the decision MS has made, it's relatively simple to re-enable the functionality. One can download the O2k3 sp3 ADM as the parent indicated. With the ADM one can enable this via Active Directory group policies - simple to roll it out org wide. Assuming one has an AD in place, of course.
