MS is going for the government bailout. Geez you guys are paying 6 million or so for wooden arrows, I think MS can come up with a good excuse to have the government bail out Vista.
Well, if a teacher grades on a curve,and 6 out of 10 gets 100%, then indeed 3 out of 6 is 50%. Point here is anybody can scew grades to suit the requirement of the day, happens in schools every day of the week.
You lug around your cheap Vista Acer LOL, and I'll lug around my Eee PC (Linux) happily. Since I bought this thing, it doubbles as my Mobile phone, which saves me 50% of the original purchase price of my EEE every month, not to mention the fact that it also allowed me to get rid of the Cel Phone. Happy days are here again.
A small formfactor laptop....ASUS EEPC.
It has 3 USB ports, one extermanl video port, SD Card Slot, Video Camera, Mic, 4GB build in hard drive (Chip based), wireless and wired network capabilities. I added just for the hell of it a 2GB HDSD Card. What the unit currently runs with space to burn, and upgraded the unit to 2GB DDRII mem. There is no visible performance improvement between the original 512MB and 2GB Memory. On startup this little thing will runn circles around most Desktops, and most certainly around most Laptops. Software just runs fast and great.
Add an LCD Screen, External HDD&DVD, Standard KB, mouse and you can have the best of both worlds, a laptop to go, and Worstation at home or at work.
This system currently runs:
Windows XP Home in it's entiredy (OEM),
MS Office Professional 2003,
AVG Antivirus,
Skype,
Firefox,
Sahara (Full featured Movie),
Photofiltre (Graphic Editor),
Debut (Camera Recording Software),
Ramdisk and
783 High Res Pictures (5.1MP)
What is left:
712MB on SD Card for data
512MB on Built in 4GB HDD
PC cost 499 AU Dollars not counting extra memory or HDSD Card.
16GB HDSD Cards however are available for this unit.
Should be an auction system, in which the uneducated, undereducated, sick and poor can auction of their citiezenship to the highest bidder (on eBAY) in order to become a wealthy permanent resident. This in turn will whipe out the poor underclass, saving the government billions a year in welfare, medicare etc. creating heaps of wealthy, healthy, educated immigrated citiezens who might actually vote to turn out corrupt politicians.
(No government visas need to ever be issued, no lawyers hired etc.)
There is one Internet Provider out there that will help you keep your IP adress as an unknown.
