    ok enough rambling...
I met my current girlfriend of over 6 months in a first period class i was trying desperatly to get out of, thank god i didnt. She is the best thing thats happened to me in about a year and a half :) She's not a geek type, the Anti-Geek would more or less describe it. Oh well, im hopelessly in love.

We *really* dont need computers either, but we all have one(+). Wouldnt you want to be the first one on your block with a holographic monitor to play Quake in a truely 3d environment? Possibly Half-Life TFC as a sniper? now that could be very fun... maybe a multiple zoom scope? :)

I think that looks pretty cool for a 3dwm. Especially in the early beta stages, i hope it progresses to mainstream.

The results of this test will, honestly, correlate to those who have violent tendencies. It does appear not do it on the basis of who is wearing trenchcoats, who is "different", or who is left out. It is not about geeks, nerds, or social rejects at all.

My best friend at school wears a trenchcoat when its cold or raining outside, its a nice trenchcoat and keeps him warm. The other day the principle stopped us, and began asking us in a semi-scared way if he was "OK". As though he was a violent person or he was going to shoot up the entire school that lunch period. I hope this test does get around, and it becomes very accurate, or must be backed by a Physcologist's evaluation if a Positive is spewed forth by the program. Could help prevent alot of negatvitiy we (my friends and i) get from hanging out with "the kid in the trenchcoat".

I'm still in high school too, and have had the exact same experience with girls as you have. I've always had a lot of friends who happen to be girls (wording girl-friend w/o implying dateing has got to be the hardest thing to do). My current girlfriend is one of my best friends, as well as someone i am in love with (please no crtisism on that). We were friends for about 6 or 7 months before we became *close* friends, and we started dateing.

she has almost no interest in computers, but i do. Its not something that either of us really notice, we just focus on other things that we like mutually.

dont rush it are words to live by.

Slashdot is VERY good at finding out where the bugs are - this was a kernel bug, I think.

i just installed linux the other day on an old 486 to crash around with, then i read this article, how apropriate. Anyways, speaking of slashdot finding the bugs, the graphs are kinda creepy following the posting of the article, exponetial(sp?) growth almost :)
