What should be realized is that Blizzard, presumably, has staff working around the clock to resolve this issue. Situations like this cannot be fixed overnight, as most players seem to be expecting. I commend Blizzard for both their efforts to stabilize their network and for developing one of, if not the best video games ever created.
I am a seasoned gamer, first time MMO'er, I purchased World of Warcraft on the first day and have been playing ever since. Yes, I have been affected by the issues they've been experiencing, but its not as bad as people complain about. Note that I've had my game rollback 2 hours, I've sat in a queue for an hour, and I've fought through lag. Am I going to unsubscribe, complain to Blizzard, or cry and moan that I cannot play? Nah.
In a few months time (perhaps even sooner) you will notice that these issues will be ironed out and Blizzard will be more than happy to compensate its subscribers.
Besides, if these problems are causing you grief, don't play right now. I'm sure you've got some vacation time you're just itching to waste.
I'm a TSR for Shaw, as well. Edmonton, in fact. Our negotiations with @Home will be short.;)
'bout time @Home gets what they deserve, from my year and a half of working for Shaw Cable and Videon Cablesystems (both had contracts with @Home [Shaw Edmonton/Videon Winnipeg] and I know firsthand how problematic their "connectivity" truly is).
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF SHAW COMMUNICATIONS INC.
Dear Shaw@Home customers:
Shaw is committed to providing its customers with the most reliable and secure high-speed Internet service available. Three years ago, we partnered with the @Home Corporation out of Redwood City, California to provide our customers with a full multimedia high-speed Internet experience. Since then, we have recognized that in order to maintain our highest quality standard, we require full control of our network.
Shaw has invested over $330 million into our high-speed cable Internet network. Over the last year, customers have been enjoying many services such as domain hosting, high performance network, secure connections, broadband content, and 24 hour customer service all on our own Internet infrastructure. Now, with the recent launch of our new Internet Data Centre, Shaw@Home customers now have a full suite of services, including email and web space available to them; all on Shaw`s very own Internet network.
Fortunately, our proactive actions came at a time when confidence in the service that the @Home Corporation in the U.S. was providing, was diminishing. But, because of the network construction we have completed, the current financial issues that the @Home Corporation are facing will have no impact to the quality of service we provide our customers. Shaw is confident that, the major shareholders of @Home Corp will maintain all e-mail and web space services without impacting its 3.7 million customers across North America.
Bottom line, all current customers who have @home.com email addresses and webspace, (managed by @Home Corp. in the U.S.), can currently maintain these existing addresses as well as choose an @shaw.ca. We will be contacting all current Shaw@Home customers, encouraging to transition over to the @shaw.ca email and webspace. To register for your new email and webspace accounts go to http://support.shaw.ca
Shaw will continue to meet its customers` demand for the Shaw@Home high-speed Internet service. We are committed to providing the fastest, most reliable and easiest-to use service via a content portal to access the best video and audio content available on the web.
We thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Peter Bissonnette

When I was a kid, there was a store in my small town that did the same thing for the old floppy-based games. I would rent the old Sierra titles and just copy them. Heh. Dummies.

Indiana Jones 4: The Calgary Sun talked with Steven Spielberg's producing partner Kathleen Kennedy who had some disheartening news for those eager to see a fourth Indy film: "The truth is there has been a lot of discussion amongst all of us connected with the film but to be honest there is no script because there isn't even a writer in place. It sounds like a slam dunk to do another Indiana Jones but you have to get everyone available and committed and then you have to get a screenplay that excites everyone. In reality that could probably take years".
Okay. Let me rephrase... scammed the dryer while I was washing my clothes. I mean, c'mon, what crazy person does their laundry so early in the morning? (besides the obvious me, of course.;)
I need caffeine tonight. Some stupid chick took the dryer and I need to get my clothes clean. It's already 2:23am and I need to get up at 5:30. Dammit! I need those stupid caffeine mints or something.

I'd rather be in your situation because I'm really, really tired. ;p
