This is unbelievably ridiculous. I can't believe it's not a joke. How
did this crankery get to be news. I would at least expect better from
the BBC, like some basic journalism - perhaps a quote from another
evolutionary theorist. I do notice that the article says nothing about
him publishing his silliness in a scientific journal.
