I mean when contributing a lot from yourself into opensource (or any other task as well) are we breaking up families? Is this the cost of the open source stuff?
If you think about Linus for example, I bet that he had some discussions with his wife about how he manages the time between his family and his work.
I didn't contribute much to community, but still I had to go through this kind of exprerience when coding "intresting stuff". I have 3 small kids.
Think about it; are you stealing precious time from your very own children when doing this? What is the price of open source? What is the price of art?:)
