  1. We're Lucky It Exists At All ... on If the FCC Had Regulated the Internet From the Start · · Score: 5, Insightful

And if someone in a position to do so had gone before Congress in 1990 and testified that in ten years or less, every 12-year-old in the country could have a box in his bedroom which would provide him with 24/7 access to unlimited, free hard-core pornography, the Internet would have been smothered in its crib. Politicians aren't the people to be making these decisions.

Thanks, but we don't need to. You'll be back every chance you get exposing your hard-on for these real estate guys.
    Get over it.

They may not take the 100.00 offer right away. They'll probably come back with a ridiculous counter offer. Keep offering the 100, and they'll eventually take it.

  7. Re:Whatever your concerns... on Bioethics Group Raises DNA Database Concerns · · Score: 0, Troll

That whirring sound you hear is Winston Churchill spinning in his grave... You Brits gave up your guns without a peep of protest, allowed your government to blanket the country with surveillance cameras, and now permit your DNA to be taken and stored without a warrant. Hard to believe we (US) as a nation descended from this sorry herd of sheeple.

Never had occasion to sterilize an elephant, but I did spend a summer circumcising the beasts. Didn't pay much, but the tips were big.

There's a later article about the new Indiana Jones movie which has a lot more comments than this one. There's a reason they call it 'News For Nerds'.

Amen. The word 'citizen' doesn't appear in the constitution, and it and all it's supporting documents (e.g. the Federalist Papers) make it very clear that the founders considered these rights to be inherent to the people, which means the rights existed before the constitution, and the country itself. Besides, don't we want to demonstrate the value of our principles by extending them to everyone who comes under the control of our system?
