I stopped at one of these rest stops in Hardemon county last week on the way to Colorado. I was surprised at just how nice this stop was compared to the older ones. The bathrooms were new and clean and the place included an information kiosk with an Old-West information display in the main building along with a playground for the kids on the side and several covered tables for picnics. It was really quite nice.

I vaguely recall seeing something about internet access there, but didn't really have time to pay attention to it though.

Two of us here at work got this player at the same time. There are two things to be aware of:
    1. You have to make sure that it is mounted securely or it will skip.
    2. It seems that some units are more prone to skipping. Mine is mounted in a '96 Dodge Ram and doesn't have problems (unless I drive into a huge pothole), but my coworker's unit would skip for no apparent reason. He took it back to BestBuy and got another unit that works fine.
You're right about being gaudy. It also flashes the blue lights on the sides everytime you manipulate any of the controls on the head unit. Thankfully, it includes a steering-wheel mounted remote that doesn't do this :) .

Thank you for saying that. It neatly summed up some of my feelings on the matter.

While I am not happy with the Republican Party's fervent desire to control my personal life, I have come to realize that they are far less dangerous than the Democrats, whose fervent desire is to control EVERY ASPECT of my life.

I find myself leaning towards Libertarianism more and more each day, simply because I believe that I know what's best for me (rather than some government flunky).

Libertarianism isn't inherently selfish. It only seems that way to people who believe in forced redistribution of wealth.

I long for a day when we realize that the Constitution's checks and balances were created for a reason. However, I fear that we may have fallen too far into the trap of majoritarianism to get out any time soon.
