    ... seriously.. if you're in a position where you can't avoid collision but can choose how to collide, then choose a way where you are pushing the other vehicles to the side rather than going for a head-on-lets-push-that-engine-into-someones-stomach. Also, if you can't avoid collision you are most likely driving too fast (for the circumstances, regardless of what the signs say), not paying attention or not keeping enough distance; things that are inexcusable for an autonomous car. There are always special cases to these situations of course like when driving in a city with bicylists on the road, but then again in such conditions your speed should be such that evasive actions are possible and/or collisions are not lifethreatening.

    Read-only systems, not containing any valuable info, running in a virtual machine seem to be ok.

    IE, outlook/express, msword, java, flash, adobe pdf reader, and MSN Messenger. (the last one is luckily already already dead)

    and for god's sake delete outlook/outlook express and shite like that and use sumth like thunderbird mail. VirtualBox rulez. I'm going the vm xp route also asaic, but have to finish this programming gig first. Took a long time to install and tweak al those programs to the state they are now. (and can't seem to find xp cd)

    or run autocad on an xp in a virtual machine on linux and use it only for that, with network emulation turned off.

    Those sites will still work with opera if you set opera to report itself as IE. Handly little feature.

    I agree, but the Gnome 3 fallback/classic mode is quite nice. I like it.

    Hahaha, snow in Netherlands. Doesn't happen very often and when temperatures approach freezing they put salt on the roads before there even is that 1cm of snow. I know, terribly overorganized.....

    As long as it's not on the internet there should not be a problem. Airplanes tend to fly quite nicely with 20 year old software. The spaceshuttle used 8086 based computers. Whatever. If it works it works.

    There is FreeDos for such cases
