I guess if the flight fails we do not pay. But we lose the value of the cargo. Well there is insurance. Which must have a pretty hefty premium after the latest failures.. Everything is packed special, any idea how many dollars the food and supplies cost. What is the insurance premium now, 1/2 the value???

H1B supposed to be when no qualified person can be found here BUT qualified is not defined:
1. Find IT person in overseas country of your choice
2. Write requirements to fit only that person
3. Advertise job, reject all domestic applicants. Ex. Job requires 5 years Unix experience , you have 4.5
4. Bring in person, pay 60% of going rate
5. Never forget your campaign contribution.
6. = profit = re-election
I just tried again to teach my elderly parents to use the DVD I gave them for christmas
Not only does the remote have tiny buttons with tiny text, each manufacturer of DVD's work differently, many of them will never play unless you press some buttons. Inexcuseable. Try to explain between screen formats to an 82 year old.
if the accuracy can be improved they could land in the great lakes. That at least stops the salt water corrosion. The capsule can be designed for crew survival on land, and capsule survival in fresh water, if you miss you just lose the capsule and some of the internal systems, if you hit the lake all of it gets used. If problem is detected early, just aim for the ocean. in every case crew should survive.
The technology to pirate books has been around for a long time.
Almost no one copies them, when you can buy a paperback for a reasonable price, it is not worth your time.
When CD prices and delivery get into the (for me) 3 to 5 dollar range, and the CD includes some nice pretty additional content like artwork, book, lyrics (OMG more possible infringement) poster or something not even thought of yet, no longer worth the trouble to download and record for me.
Price correctly, and piracy goes away. My business (auto parts) had had to cut prices dramatically, and the smart survive, sure the are a lot less high priced executives but we survive.
We have the ability to copy books. Why do we not do that? Because books are cheap enough that it does not pay. Authors can still make a pile of money.
Every other industry has went thru this phase. Content has to get less expensive, executives have to be reduced in number, pay cuts happen, then the industry can grow again. Resorting to DRM in any form, will be unsuccessful because, technology will overcome. The first company to recognize this, restructure appropriately, price appropriately, will win. Same as with book, computers, cars, even washing machines.

I ride a motorcycle. Sign me up!
I hope we do not mimic the political brain. Most if not all of them do not work well.
.....
I guess we should not mimic the management brain either.
Or the
Transputer and Occam Ahead of their time.
