    Americans like to believe they are the "best" country in the world, with the most freedom and what not. Well. YOU AREN'T. Get it? So stop trying to impose your "american way" on countries who DON'T WANT IT. We're just fine without it, thankyouverymuch.

    /me - working in the telecom industry, fuelled in full by non-american companies.

    You're of course free to view the history any way you want - but I'd suggest looking into the amount of forces Hitler sent into Russia and what happened there instead of concentrating on the terrorist attacks by the US/UK against cities like Dresden. (Look it up, before you answer, please)

    No, because I can. There are a whole lot of puppet regimes put in place, supported, funded by the US that in turns kills a lot of civilians. Yes - both the Kurds living in Turkey and Iraq are counted here - US money and support killed a lot of them. US pilots scouted the area where Saddam (funded by the US) gassed them, and Turkey - being everything but a nice democracy, is a member of Nato just because the US needed a launch-country close to the Soviet Union.

    There are, of course, a lot more examples like these.

    Do you _really_ want to go through that list, point for point, with someone who's read history books written outside of the US?

    There's nothing that says western europe would've become part of Soviet Russia - you do know that there are whole countries that neither the US nor Russia set foot on in WWII? Mine's one of them.

    I consider the US to be _the_ civilian-killing country in the world in the last 60 years or so. Do you _understand_ why?

    When you have socialized healthcare you get what you pay for. That's why no medical advancements come out of nations with such systems.

    I was on yahoo messages boards and found many are upset and look at Bush as reckless and a threat to global stability more then anyone else. He really could overreact and create a nuclear war if he is not carefull.

    This is the main opinion in a lot of freedom-loving European states.

    Of course it is. NSA is a company. Company leaks secrets. There's no way anyone working in the feld of Mathematics would be able to keep something that huge a secret for long.

    Innovation happens in multiple places at the same time since the underlying technology becomes available.

    Don't reply to threads when you haven't got a clue on the subject.


    NSA most certainly not has processing power to even begin "sniffing" data encrypted with a knwon good 128 bit stream cipher where the key has been exchanged with 2048 bit DH.

    ... which either crashes (v5) or closes down all open IE windows (v6) in Windows - but does not crash IE on Mac. It DOES however crash both Konqueror and Mozilla on the Mac - but not on Windows.

    I don't know what to make of it. I have that code running on the site in my sig just for fun - that's how I found out about the Mac-weirdness.

    Who's stealing code from who? ;)

    Please - tell me which of the posts on the page in my sig is wrong :) I'm quite sure you can't. It's _very_ easy to point out errors in the article you link to on the other hand - and article quite clearly filled with a lot of that hate you try to attribute to me. (It's also very easy to dispute the whole article).

    Maybe he - like I - didn't like the way the new Nazi-state of the world (Israel) acts? Maybe he thought it is ok to interfer with the internal affairs of other suvereign nations - like the US repeatedly does? :)

    Israel is bulldozing homes where people've lived for a lot longer than the Israel nation has existed. Whatever you want to call it - it's still wrong. You're welcome to click on my sig for some more info that rarely hits mainstram media.

    I agree with everything you say - except that I'm of the position that we don't know what do to :) The things we're doing to "stop" global warming are maybe doing just the opposite - we simply don't know how the Earth copes with the issue. Maybe it _needs_ elevated CO2 levels?


    I also live in Northern Europe - although the plan is to move to New Zealand :)

    Global warming _caused by humans_ is a myth, yes. I thought that was common knowledge among people who know the earth is older than 50 years?


    Last I checked, the dinosaurs didn't drive SUVs - yet they had a whopping 10 degree celcius higher mean temperature.

    I've answered that question a few times (I'm a consultant - I've answered both when asked by a customer and when changing employer)


    I assure you, I've answered it honestly, and I've so far never failed an intervju.


    A person who tries to hide his/her negative sides probably hides other things too. People like working with honest persons.


    (My most negative side, btw, is that I like to debate and sometimes fail to see and accept that others are right too. See - I can even write it on Slashdot .. )
