"She also obtained a ruling that the RIAA's $750-per-song file damages theory might be a wee bit unconstitutional."
I wonder how they break down the $750 per song file?
$0.99 Actual Price of Song
$749 Time and Labor for RIAA to prosecute
Being ripped off by your own government PRICELESS:)
For Everything Else There's Mastercard
I don't see this getting off the ground and personally I think its a huge security problem. You really want your phone calls routed through other peoples' phones? How long did it take for hackers to get the iPhone working with other carriers? They will be all over this.
This is just a marketing gimmic in response to Googles 2GB email storage. All they're doing is not putting a limit on the amount of space your account can have. I'm sure its dynamically allocated so they waste no extra space on everyone. Yahoo knows damn well that 99.99999% of their uses won't get over a gig or two worth of email. It's just a big FU to their rival Google. I mean how can you beat unlimited space?
Vista Vista Vista....what a mess. My dog could sh*t out a better operating system than that piece of junk. Extremely late and filled with more bugs/exploits than XP, they should have stopped before they even started creating Vista.
Don't you guys tax us enough as it is already?!?! This is just a lame excuse to generate more money for the government because they are wasting it on things I will not mention *cough cough IRAQ cough cough *. If you really want to generate money off recycling charge people at drop off. That way I can go dump it in a dumpster and avoid the fee all together:)
Lets face it the web has grown more than anyone could have ever predicted and it continues to grow at an amazing rate. It will eventually do away with everything from cds to books to magazines to movies, etc. Wiki is already an internationally known site. I don't know a single person who doesn't know about it. They'll use this popularity to help this new magazine idea take off and you know plenty of people will contribute to it.
So I take it the FBI doesn't use any tracking software on their laptops. Quite a few colleges disperse laptops to students with tracking software embedded so why hasn't the FBI done that? Money isn't an issue for them.
$25 million is chump change for something like that, especially when you receive it in payments like that over the course of 10 years. Then you got to figure the government is going to tax the hell out of you for it. I say Branson should raise the stakes, its not like he can't afford it.
Hackers have had a long time to prepare viruses for today's release to the masses. I can already see Vista is going to be like previous versions of Windows, a sinking ship with too many holes to patch. Switch to Linux!!!
Ok, first of all its not that hard to secure a wireless network. An 11 yr old could do it. Just google it. Second, does that country have nothing better to do? I mean its a 17 year old leeching off a neighbor's wireless, big deal happens all the time. Its not like he was doing anything malicious. Shouldn't you be more worried about catching murders and throwing them in jail instead of wasting time and jail space on something so stupid.

LMAO, very nice comparison between the two.
"Microsoft's Mark Russinovich acknowledges the risk factor but says it was a 'design choice' to balance security with ease of use."
So are they saying they already knew about the hole and just waited for someone to find it or is this one of those typical Microsoft excuses?

Don't they have anything better to do....like make us Americans some waffles.
They sent twinkies into space too and they came down with a higher nutrional value as well as better taste
Now if they can only find a way to lessen its thirst for volts they could make it useful for the masses.

Cant' we just get them from some other country that was hit by the bird flu? F*** them for doing that with billions of lives on the line!
Good, I'm sure I'm not the only one that shares mutual hate for spammers and marketing staff that want to sell you worthless crap!

Well its good to know the defense department is doing something good with all our tax money besides spending it on booze and strippers....
This will so come back to bite them in the ass!
What the hell are they putting in those? Dell has laptops starting at $599. They're obviously doing something retarded.
Michael Griffin has seen Armageddon too many times.

Ya right, I give it 6 months before we see a slashdot story about viruses attacking vista.
