I went nuts a few weeks ago and decided to clean my dell console keyboard with what I had on hand: water and scrubbing bubbles. Clean as a whistle, but of course when I impatiently plugged it back in a few minutes later it was unresponsive and emitted a constant beeping death rattle.
Interestingly enough though, I plugged it back in a few weeks later and it worked fine. Typing on it now.
