This reminds me of a tool I used back in the day called "Revelation". You loaded it up, clicked on the "target" icon, then clicked on a password field that was blocked with asterisks instead of displaying the password. The "hidden" password would appear in the "Revelation" box, allowing you to see what it was.
This was how I discovered the password for our dial-up internet back when I was in middle school in the mid-90's. My mom entered the password, and usually waited until it connected...but one time she slipped up, and left before it connected. I hit "cancel", and sure enough the password was still there, just blocked by asterisks. Thanks to "Revelation", I got it and was able to log in during the middle of the night, chatting it up on Yahoo and working on my Angelfire web page.
In our defense, we are, for the most part, reactionary lower-level mammals.
I kid, I kid. But seriously...fellow Americans, stop being so terrified of anyone that looks lightly tanned, stop believing everything the government tells you, and for all that you think is holy, stop watching mainstream news. Remember: just because you agree with it doesn't make it unbiased.
Whatever. Short of hitting the kid on the noggin and knocking him out, there was nothing the Dad could do other than sit back and let him ride the Stimutacs.
The primary difference is that you don't have to give up your warranty to do it on Android.
We already had this discussion here, folks...don't use "just hack the device" as support for an iPhone when you can do the same thing with an unmodified Android device. I'm all for modifying my gadgets, but not when I can buy a gadget that does what I want right out of the box.
Same applies to every 'feature' you have. That people like you continue to willfully ignore this very important component of user acceptance is evidence of your fanboism.
If you notice, in my post that you replied to, I specifically said there was nothing that either Android or iOS can do that the other can't do. Last time I checked, equal regard isn't the same thing as fanboyism.
For the record, I love the iPhone hardware and iOS is well-made...but I refuse to financially support Apple so long as they continue to use the walled garden.::shrug:: sorry.
Specifics? Last time I checked, there is nothing that the iPhone OS can do that Android can't do (and, aside from Android being "open", the reverse is more or less true as well.)
well, these are the sorts of growing pains that happen with any "new" way of doing something.
I'm in no rush for HTML5 to take over (flash "just works", at least on my systems), but it would be nice to not have Adobe keeping an iron fist on so much of the interactive content out there.
Agreed. Something like Warp from Star Trek or the Gravity Drive from Event Horizon (minus the hellish torture...or not, some people might dig that) are likely the only ways we will be able to explore beyond our solar system in a reasonable amount of time.
Or, we could just all play the "space age" in Spore at the same time:p

Ah, memories...
... .. ...
I think you just divided by zero.
Most likely, the price is so high due to a small production run.
Because you ask three questions about it. You've already asked one...we're waiting.

Things like this don't even surprise me anymore, because I've come to expect them from our government.
I tried that when my new phone starting dropping calls, but he kept telling me "not to hold it that way."
I hwas about to bone my girlfriend over tha phone, but then she said there hwhas no wheyyy.
I've been accused of many things here on Slashdot but accused of being an Apple fanboy is certainly a first.
For a start where are the third party apps?
.....it runs Android. Where do you think the third party apps are? :-)
You can find one here. I'm very seriously considering buying one.
Just pick up an iPed.
caught in a landslide

"IS IT GONNA BE THIS WAY FOREVER????"
I know what you mean, kid...I know what you mean.

What do you EXPECT me to do on these phones, anyway?
I expect you to DIE, Mr. Bond.
I dare you to find a mouse thatdoesnt have some sort of scrolling function
The first one that comes to mind is the Logitech Marble, a fekking awesome trackball.
The multi-monitor thing? That I 100% agree with you on...it definitely bugs me too.

When? Just now!
Damn, I love living in the future.
