Cablevision is a bunch of Nazi fascist. FiOS and the like isn't even an option in my area and they know this so if I can and threaten they pretty much just laugh in my face. Cablevision is my ONLY option unless I want something really horrible.
James Dolan should be deported from the US for being an fucking asshole. The Knicks would probably actually become a winning franchise again. How embarrassing was the Knicks losing to the Nets last night. The Nets were 6-55 before beating the Knicks.
I've got this game on my Nexus One. I saw rave reviews about it and shelled out $5 for it. At first, I wasn't so happy with it, then I became addicted to playing it. Especially trying to play it on the subway / train since the movement of the train makes the bat's sweet spot move around. Much more difficult then playing while sitting on a couch!
This isn't aimed at HTC; it's aimed at Google. Don't kid yourself. To whom, is Google paying license fees?
The lawsuit is currently directed at HTC, so you would be quite wrong in this case. Though, I'm more than sure the plan is to stop Google's phone by attacking it from the ground up. I can understand why they are doing it because IMO (I have a Nexus One and my wife as an iPhone) the Nexus One is far superior to Apple's iPhone. Thats even with the few quarks that need to be worked out.
How about force all search engines release search statistical data to the public. That kind of information is extremely valuable, not just to search companies, but to marketing companies too.
It's amazing how many people on the subway I've seen with cracked screens on their phones. Apparently, their phone still works after whatever violent past it had!
Basically, it was a picture of a guy drawing a flowchart on how to resolve an IT problem. It had all kinds of things happening, then right at the end there was cloud there that said "(((Something magic happens)))" in the middle of it, and then everything was fixed!
Cook doesn't invoke confidence with such an ambiguous statement.
Man, I love Italy. Easily my favorite European country to visit, but idiotic things like this make me never want to visit again.
IMO, any prosecutors involved in even attempting to bring such a case to court should have been immediately removed from their position. The fact that the judge allowed the case AND ruled in favor, he should have been immediately removed from his position and barred from any and all legal and / or political practices within Italy.
The decision to seriously overhaul KDE was a great decisions in the long run though it was completely unusable for several releases after the switch. I must say, it is beautiful now. With this release, I think it's time for me to switch back.
The N900 was the phone I was hell bent on getting before purchasing the Nexus One. The whole reason I changed my mind was all the in-depth reviews of it and the stories about how there are so many things that should be standard in it that are all marked as something like "Community Fix" meaning, let the developer community fix it rather than Nokia fixing it.
That just seems like a bad way to view one of your high end products. I liked that the Nexus One had a larger screen and was much thinner than the N900. Of course, tight integration with all of Google's services makes just that much better.
I was highly interested in the Nexus One, but wasn't sure. With the recent updates Google just made, I took the plunge too.
If you've got the cash, do the non-subsidized one. You can get a rate plan that is about $20 a month cheaper from T-Mobile. After two years, thats a $480 savings. That cuts the $529 you paid down to $49 over two years. Thats $130 less ($179) than if you signup as a new T-Mobile customer or $230 less ($279) if you're already a customer. (I'm already a customer)
Yeah right. Two people in my office have Netbooks and both complain about how they aren't powerful enough to do what they need. To top that, the only time they use them is when they travel so they can get mail, access Google docs, read PDF documents, and use IM.
I purchased one for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas cause she wanted one. All she does is complain about how slow it is and how much trouble she has watching videos and voice chatting with her friends. I tried to install a Canon Pixima iP6600D printer. I had to try three different ways to install it and finally got it installed, yet it still won't print.
If what publishers offered to writers was a necessity, (physical publishing) then what do they have to offer with eBooks? Nothing you can't get elsewhere. eBook distribution, editing, and marketing you can get anywhere. If I were a writer with any clout, I would tell companies like Macmillan to shove it. Offer my book for physical publishing *only* to a publisher with the best offering for myself and my fanbase, NOT give up any ownership / copyrights, and publish it eBook style on my own. That way I get a far bigger cut from the eBook and you don't have asshead jerks screwing over my fanbase on the eBook front.
Nobody is going to pay for a news site for the most part. You can easily get the same news elsewhere for free. The only places I've seen people pay for something like this is cable TV. The reason for that is because you had too to get all the major content.
The reason you can't do that with websites is that any old Joe can't create a TV station, but they can create a news website. If Newssite1.com makes you pay, everyone will go to Newssite2.com to get the same information free.
As noted by another poster. Google did it, and I'm willing to bet someone like Redhat in combination with hardware donation from IBM could manage to put together that type of infrastructure. I mean, you don't have to have 1 million servers like Google to start off with. You build as required. If you get that large, you will have plenty of search revenue to build out with.
I don't use any installable tool-bars. Like they say, nothing is truly free. I'm sure the sending of data when off was intentional. They just got busted.
I don't like mega-corporations that have way to much control. This is why I wish someone new would step up in the search world. The two best search engines are Google and Bing, both owned by mega-corps. Maybe an open source search engine powered by an open source charity. (donates to open source projects)
This undermines the entire election process. They claim it's against freedom of speech. No it's not. You are free to say whatever you want. It has no baring on free speech at all. This is people wanting to buy an election. There is a reason the law was enacted in the first freaking place!
There should be an investigation here and all parties proven to be involved in these shenanigans should be sent to prison.
I doubt Oracle is going to kill or even hamper MySQL. If anything, they will make an Oracle upgrade path that fits like a glove. While MySQL takes away some of Oracle's business, there are things out that that just doesn't need Oracle and companies that just can't afford Oracle DB. It is in Oracle's best interest to empower MySQL so that people don't switch from MySQL to PostgreSQL or other free alternatives. I mean, if I'm Oracle. I want users under my umbrella even if they aren't using my flagship product. If they ever outgrow MySQL, I would (if I were Oracle) want them to look stay with me and upgrade to Oracle DB rather than look else where.
This is a huge boon for PostgreSQL though as several people will migrate away because of this. I used to use PostgreSQL a lot. The only reason I stopped was once InnoDB really stepped up it did what I needed, and MySQL is just easier to use.
Didn't I see this on History or the Discovery channel some years ago? Why is it being re-reported now? This ring / impact crater is not *new* news.
Library of Congress is a moving target. What would pass today, won't in 2020.
That said, I'm going with Video Calls per Chinese Person too. It's just much funnier. :)
knockd if only *you* or other technically savvy people connect to them, or option B (DenyHost) if customers actually use it too.
DenyHost can be set where it will blacklist IPs that fail ssh more than $x times and you can even whitelist IPs.

I love how he had to note he was "getting the penthouse".
I don't think you need to worry about the antennas as much as the butler cause the butler is always the one that did it!

This reminds me of a carton I once saw.

Galen Gruman (the writer of the article) used to write for Macworld and is also part of iPhoneInTouch developers group.
This can all be found on his linkin profile. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/galen-gruman/0/37/599
It's something you would want to take with a grain of salt, if he wasn't hounding it with every article he wrote about it. FUD.
but there is no way for you to say when.
Yet.
Opt-out? It's a private email service. You can opt out by not using it. Forward the mail to some other email account.
That like saying, I want to opt-out of Starbucks coffee.

I love the new features shown in the videos.

The site says Only anonymous data will be collected by this site. Yet they are collecting data to see how un-anonymous you actually really are! :)
