Very insightful. An emergency room doctor found a blood clot in my brain about six months ago. While reoccurance of a blood clot in the future is low, it is higher than the average person. Instead of waiting for symptoms severe enough to land me in the emergency room or worse, this is a cheap way to test for a blood clot at onset of symptoms and before it gets to that stage. Doctors are much less likely to run a patient through MRIs, MRVs, and CT scans at the onset of every headache.
The only problem is that once a blood clot has formed in a blood vessel, it often alters the way imaging diagnostics detect that location in the future. Often, an image will give the appearance that the blood clot still exists even though it has disappeared. I would be very interested to know how this device would work in this aspect?
