    Socialism can only work because it thrives on and deprives the productive.

    We wouldn't have half the advancements of the last hundred years with it.

    Until we come up with some more universal measure of success than money, most people will chase profit.

    Socialism is the reason we've had such advancements in the last 150 years: Public education, public health and public investment in transport.

    No, poorer can also mean less wealthy than would have been. If option 1 yields x% and option 2 yields y%, when x > y taking option 2 makes you poorer.

    It is the customer who determines value, and you've proved it. In the case of the Chevy the market (i.e. customers) determine whether it's worth it or not. The Seller determines the PRICE and the customer determines the VALUE.

    One thing I've noticed looking at French websites is the large amount of embedded stuff they use. It seems to me there is proportionally a lot more Flash and Active-x. The transition from IE to Firefox may not be trivial.
