I didn't see this mentioned here yet, but PHP 4.3.0 finally supports out-of-the-box (so to speak) --with-apxs compiling. No longer do I have to try to tweak the configure script or the makefile in order to get it to compile!
This also means I and other OS X users don't have to wait for Marc Liyanage's package to come out (as he is away on vacation now)...
In Toast Titanium 5.1, CDDB (cddb.cddb.com) is indeed the dafault CD Info Server in the preferences. However, this is freely editable to whatever you wish (freedb.freedb.org, for example). It works fine.
I still find it interesting how the NeoGeo still has games coming out for it (how long this will last, I am not sure), like The King of Fighters 2001...
[Ok. I didn't really have anything to say, but SNK meant a lot to me as far as video game companies go. I still prefer fighting games with 2-D sprites over newfangled 3-D ones...]
Yes, SVG is here now, and because it is XML, it is easy to edit on the fly (which is good).
However, AFAIK you cannot integrate it with sound, and when I was experimenting with the Adobe Illustrator SVG export, I found even the compressed SVG files (SVGZ) to be around 4 times the size of an SWF of the same image.
