Well, you know how it is; QA labs are always underfunded... Maybe their budget wouldn't stretch to a Vista license. Or they couldn't figure out which version to buy.

At my business place we use an all in one intranet site built off of jivesoftware.com Clearspace. Clearspace is not just for IT though, it allows spaces of collaboration in all sects of your company. In Clearspace you will find blogs, wiki document/discussions, and in newer versions to come even xmpp. The spaces allow you to comment and add material with other people, trust me is a wicked tool to be using intra office. The software company I work at has an incredible short release schedule, nicknamed the release train, and this tight schedule could not be managed without a comprehensive tool.
