I've always liked the potential of the system. Just the other week I bought a slim (Mostly for FFT:TWotL). I'm really looking forward to having more games to choose from.
I think Sony finally has an opportunity to really get the ball rolling here.
It's common business sense to not tell people you're dropping prices until you do it. How much notice did we get on the PSP price drops? The same goes for releasing an enhanced revision of a product. It's way too early for a slim PS3, but I think this November (in time for Christmas), the price will be at most $500. If they didn't, then I'd shudder to think what they're actually losing on each console sale.
He spends 10x $4.17 a month. 10 * $4.17 * 12 = $500.40 a year. That's 10% of his budget on an X-Box Gold subscription. Also, multiply the result by 100 to express it as a percentage. You meant to say 0.8%.

I agree. I don't have the X-Box live service because I don't use it. Though with some anime available now, there's slightly more incentive to get it.
