Correlation does support evidence to a hypothesis though.
The idea seems logical... There are a lot of people without a Super Ego. ID = Do what whatever immediately makes you feel better. Ego = Do the right thing because you will either get rewarded or punished if caught if you do the wrong thing. Super Ego = Do the Right Thing because it is the right thing, you may or may not get rewarded, or noticed, but because it is the right thing you do it.
I don't think religion give people the Super Ego, There are probably the same percentages of Religious People and Atheists who have a Super Ego. But what religion does with the fear of Punishment from God for being bad. In essence keep the People with the normal Ego in line.
So in cultures that Just have a Heaven, they expect you to work to please God. This doesn't mesh with the normal Ego, pleasing God isn't that much of a reward. Because the options are still Internal Bliss no matter what you do or a form of neutral state, just being dead, or some form of purgatory. Means you can still get away with a lot.
A trade off of growing Atheism, is the fact that people who never formed a Super Ego will do whatever they can that they won't get caught for doing it.
There isn't anything wrong exposing you children to new things, what is usually more dangerous is making your kids avoid what you think is crap, or not your cup of tea.
If you do that you start planting the seed of a divide between you and him... However there isn't anything wrong to exposing you children to things you like and other things as well.
It is Ok if you kid Like Gangster Rap... However he should be able appreciate classical music as well, if you just let him make his own choices most kids will choose to do what is popular, exposing your kids to other ideas and arts, forces them to decide if they like it or not.
In general stuff that if it really supprised you, then you are an idiot. yes we all know our respective countries feed us a degree of propaganda. Because there are some voter disapproved things that need to be done to keep alies, or some representatives who can't keep their mouth shut or use the information to mess up a plan. Nothing leaked from Wikileaks was that big deal if you think a little more big picture. It ain't a perfect world, and your side isn't always the good side.
I dont think the US is really that hell bent to get him. They are more consered about the person who actually leaked the data. I am not saying if he entered US soil he will have a good time and the Feds will leave him alone. But just as long as Wikileaks isn't leaking out more stuff they are content.
Ok Lets blame the Right, they are anti-science. Or lets blame the Left, they make kids think if they don't have million dollar facilities they cannot learn anything, they don't try to learn. Both sides are well over generalizing.
The problem isn't Left Politics, Right Politics, or Religion. It is a culture that is seems to allow people to progress with poor reasoning. Tests are not about reasoning, but knowing the information. Today we can get facts very fast. Much faster then any time in history... Unfortunately that means we are spending less time rebuilding the wheel to find things that facts already have told us.
This is more then just Science, but normal real life things... Imagine buying a TV from a store without Internet based reviews. You had to go with past experience to realize if that brand is considered a good brand or a bad one. So that Sony Walk Man was really good quality you would most likely get the Sony TV. You knew a person with an RCA and the picture quality was bad, you wouldn't get an RCA, or you see all his neighbors with different TVs all had bad pictures so it was the area, so you may choose the RCA...
Nothing, has a problem where things are getting confusing, it is too big for its first intent.
I would do the following... Get rid of.COM made to represent commercial entities. It got too popular so people get it for whatever. Replace it with B2B and B2C Depending how they do business.
Replace.EDU with.EDH (Higher education),.EDC (For profit higher Education),.EDP (k-12 Private education).EDG (K-12 Public (government) education).EDV (Vocational/Certificate Education).ORG with.ORH (Not for Profit Health and Human Services).ORI (Not for profit Information Service slashdot.ORI).ORP (Pollitical groups),.ORO (Other services).GOV ( is fairly US centris, I would break them up by countries so for the United States we would have the following. FUS (Federal Government,.SUS (State Government), CUS (County/City Government), MUS (Military US)
Here is a story outside of IT. There was a Chinese Pianist, he was very good, he always won Piano competitions. He went to America to work with some of the masters. They offered him a choice, does he want to become a better Pianist, or just keep winning awards. Being told these options really humbled him, in his mind, winning meant that you were the best. However it was a case in these competitions there were only a subset of skills that are measured, so if you just focused on what was graded then you can win the competition. However if you want to master your art, it is about working on other things as well, things that are not always part of the grading.
Technology is no longer a game for the young anymore... That is the problem. When Slashdot started it was full of 1990 hipsters, who were raking in the dough on the Dot Com Madness. They talk about jobs raking in 6 figures, where they spend half the day playing video games, and most of the jobs were either simple Web Development, or going into legacy code and changing the size of the year from 2 to 4, then finding spots on the form do deal with the change. Articles were about things people did with their excess dough, and the new technology that companies were buying, that they were using at work. Linux was the new OS, it showed promise but lacked corporate support, so when ever a company ported some (often closed source) software to Linux, it was a big deal, with a lot less nagging about Open Source purity, because it was a sign of growth in Linux. The complains about Windows were very valid, Compared to other OS's of the day it was very unstable crashed all the time and had huge security problems, the frustration was that the worse operating system was the dominate one. Then came 2003... The bubble popped... A lot of developers were laid off many of those making six figures had their salaries cut in half those 100k jobs were no 50k, often your quality of your life isn't how much you make, but how much you budget for, when you get a big cut in your income, even if it is still a good salary, you feel the pain, from the change... Things you never needed to budget for you now need to save up for, and everything seems so much more expensive. Getting jobs became more difficult, a lot of those jobs were rushed to India. Windows XP came out, and it was a vast improvement in Windows but Slashdotter who are now under budget constants, and are already miserable and pessimistic, had already put a lot of emotional equality in Linux. Their tight budgets meant that they need to expand their PC Buying time lines, and will wait much longer between PC cycles, thus stuck with an OS designed to run better on slower systems. Anything new was now put off as a new attempt to take our money and give us junk, and justify to ourselves and others why, we are not getting the new and greatest anymore. Then there was the Microsoft black hole where We have been on Windows XP and IE 6 for far too long. Early on Windows XP had some security problems, but those for the most part were controlled, then 4 year later Windows Visa was a Flop. Then finally Windows 7 which was good to stand on its own again. However during this lag, Linux got a big boost in popularity (with Firefox) early on then those gains were pushed away by Apple, with popularity of the iPod, and iPhone. Apple also picked up some geek cred by having OS X being Unix based OS. That allowed for many Linux fans to switch without missing much (Technically, not in terms of "freedom" lost). So the OS we had put so much emotional investment in hasn't grown much in an area where it had huge opportunity. Microsoft also has gotten a big hit. While early on they got huge market share, they are unable to grow much these days. People are getting less PC's and going to smart phone and tablets. So Microsoft is pushing to stay relevant it has actually done a lot of real good work, however Slashdot users who are now old and bitter from loosing their spot in the 1%, are still holding onto their old ways of looking at things. Microsoft Windows 7 is the same quality as Windows ME, just with a fancier UI, which I don't need anyways. Windows 8 is just there to confuse the users. But can you blame them for being bitter, once they were gods among men, now they are like everyone else.
I am on the fence with this. The only way you can get $100 for a degree in education is to mass produce it. Pre-Recorded Lectures, Online articles, Mutable choice tests, all done online. Now granted some colleges nearly teach like that, a professor with a well practiced rehearsed lectures, then you do you multiple choice tests, then you got your class credit... While you may learn, and can get accreditation. It creates a culture of mediocre education. This takes out some of the human elements that are both good and bad. If you are able being able to be noticed by a professor and working with them on his research, having your work properly critiqued. When I went to college for Computer Science, I came in already knowing how to program, and I was working programming, but I wanted to learn more then just the core requirements, I wanted to learn the nuances. While some students in my class who passed they got the basics, I was able to use education and the work directly with my professors to hone my skills and make me better. I know I used up more then $100 expense on my education.
However I think a hybrid approach would be a good match. There are some classes, that I didn't like spending thousands of dollars on, just because I had to take them, I would much rather pay a lower rate, and take the mediocre online class to get the credit, and save some money. But save the classes I am actually interested in with live people and professors.
But that is how conspiracies work. The more information you don't have the stronger the evidence that it must be real. I mean a while back they took a mixed race baby born in a different country, paid the hospital to lie to publish a new paper reports, and an other insider generated false documents to prove he was born in the United States, Pay for a team of actors to say they knew this child when they were children, all in the offshoot that perhaps this child (where the culture at the time figured had near 0 chance of major success in life) would become president and support the Socialist Cause....
The facts are... Well some of the people who knew him as a kid called him a more anglo saxon nickname which is very close of his real name.
HealthCanada my be legitimate, but it isn't the FDA. It may be better or worse then the FDA, but that isn't the point, it is because they are not approved threw the FDA.
The difference is if you go across the border to get your drugs or a Taco, you know you are leaving FDA rules, and you accept the risk. If you are in the United States, you expect what ever you buy there should be within the rules of the FDA.
If he is not selling drugs and properly reporting where they come from, it could be a major health concern. For those who work in the Health Industry, You need to be sure that everything is properly documents and reported correctly. Ok you get these pills from a tiny nations (who seemed to be a major exporter of sugar) at 1/10th price, which appears to be brand name drug. Now you my be actually getting the real drug, or a forgery made from sugar, or worse, a copy from some of the active ingredients at different percentages, or different drugs all together. If you are not reporting it correctly, who knows. The FDA isn't cracking down on cheap drugs, but improperly documented drugs as they can be harmful.

1. School Lunches need to be affordable. 2. School Lunches need to be healthy 3. School Lunches need to be served and eaten fast 4. School Lunches need to be eaten.
If you make them too affordable and cheap, then you have unhealthy food that doesn't really taste that good so kids won't eat them. If you make the food too healthy, they may be too expensive, also parents have spoiled their kids so they do not like healthy food, so they wont eat it, or they will be foods that require fork and spoon and will take too long to eat. If you make too much fast food, It will be unhealty. If you make foods the kids will eat, they may not be ultra healthy.
I am not sure why the Catering Staff will fear loosing their job, from a bad review from a kid, They often have little control, on what is on the menu, or even how to prepare it. They may fear loosing their job, if the blog shows the food is unsafe, such as under-cooked, or made unsanitary then that is a different issue.
I think the Issue with mobile phone, is the new coding standards, means less fuss about hardware level coding. The Intel PC, had came from a long legacy where a lot of programs were programmed using a fare about of custom Assembly Coding. Mostly due to the fact that we didn't have a robust library set. So these legacy systems had passed from one generation to the next, keeping software locked on platforms. When mobile devices got popular, they put more effort into more platform independent coding. Using systems that require more on pre-made libraries, and almost no Low Level coding, allowing applications and even large parts of the OS to be ported from one Platform to the next, with very little work.
However as a Bass Player, I like D Major. between the Notes of A-F# (the A and D string (The two center strings) ) you can keep the same position and follow Open 1 4 Open 1 4, C isn't that bad Open 1 2 Open 1 2
Yes, I would agree, my Minor was in music, and in Music theory classes, they gave us a list of the Bach Approved Cord Progressions. This has been the gold standard in Western Music for hundreds of years. Too much variations of this will sound unmusical to western ears. Popular music is about being familiar, It has been for a long time, so popular music will not stay away from the familiar. That is why professional musicians can just jam with a brand new song, by hearing where the song is and where it has been, they know where it is going to go.
When you "Break The Rules" which you are allowed to, use need a good reason to do so. Give music that extra spice, but it is akin to a jalapeno on a burger, vs. just eating a plat full of jalapeno's (if you break the rules for no good reason)
The Tonic (I cord) and the Dominate (V Cord) are usually always work with each other. The Subdominate (IV cord is sometimes used too, because it is the inverse of the Dominate). The Submediant (VI Cord) is the natural minor code with the same key Signature of the Tonic cord.
Now the Supertonic (II Cord) is often due to a secondary dominance (The V cord of the V cord) Or used to move to a minor function from a Subdominate(IV cord).
The Mediant (III Cord) and Leading tone (VII Cord) are used very sparingly. Primarily because the Median and the Leading tone, are key notes in letting the listener know what mode the music is in Major or Minor (The VII also can tell if you have a Natural Minor or a Melodic Minor). So these notes are usually reserved to give the music its feel, and not be the boring job of being a Cord Root. Now you may see the III and VII cord in music, however they are often not really a III or VII cord anymore, they are part after a key change in the music (often due to Secondary dominance) and sticking to the new key, for a while (now the music may have a new key signature, or just more accidentals in that area).
Well IE every time there is a new version it is much improved... The problem is the length of time between the updates. We were Stuck on IE 6 for way too many years, IE 7 Was much improved, however it came with the Vista Stink, and they kept too much of the IE 6 compatibility. IE 8 was much better then 7, and was on par with the other browsers at the time, the same with IE 9 and IE 10... But they have release cycles in years, while firefox and chrome have release cycles in months, so When a New IE comes out, all those cool new features, we are already use to, because Chrome and Firefox already released them.
Why are they expensive. 1. Needs to be custom fitted. That takes skilled manual labor. 2. People sue anything medical, if not the patients the doctors will sue. Wrong color, unforeen side effects, all a liability. 3. Supply and Demand. Please study economics 101 for more info. 3.A. Insurance often covers the cost, thus customers demanding hugest quality.
For the most part for most people your data is safer in the cloud... Because you have a professional team who's job is to make sure the data is secure and working. Vs. Average Joe who has a USB Drive that they backup on, then put in the closet, Or keep running in a small closet overheating every summer.
Not to many of us have RAID storage, run nightly off site backups....
So yes your data is safer in the cloud... If your data is really that important, you should skill have an other way to get your data. Even if it is just because your Internet connection died.
Option 1. Pay to get you data... If you have illegal data then you have shown financial responsibility in owning Illegal material. Option 2. Sue... You better be sure all your data is Legit... If not then you may loose your suit and you got expensive lawyer bills.
Ether way the there is proof on the person who put the data there. If it is illegal there are brand new targets.
Well Linus was mostly on the Linux Kernel. The Linux Kernel isn't GNU/Linux. Technically you can build an OS off the Linux Kernel, that isn't "Unixy" at all. The GNU (GNU Not Unix) is model to make a Unix like system without any Unix Code (unlike Free/Open/Net/... BSD) Most of what we call Linux Distributions is the GNU/Linux OS packaged with custom set of software. However you could make an OS that doesn't look or feel like Linux or Unix. Off the Linux kernel, (with perhaps some similar boot messages) But the OS would work and behave quite differently.
I have the HA-NC250. And I am rather pleased with them. They are comfortable, I get good sound quality, and the noise cancellation while not perfect, is nice to get rid of a lot of background noise... Computer and AC Fans, background conversations, Laser Printers... Oddly enough this white noise when stopped gives your ears a feeling of relief.

and the Dominate (V Cord) are usually always work with each other.
I never had much of an issue with Safari, it is my choice browser on a Mac.
