If Johnny Taliban leaves Ohio to go to Afghanistan and fight against US forces, I don't think our troops should have to determine the nationality of the people shooting at them before shooting back.
You are very wrong. The missiles from these drones can be guided to a 1x1 meter patch anywhere on the globe. It isn't indiscriminate killing unless you don't actually know what it is you are flying the missile into (which happens, I assume).
...if an F-16 Pilot shoots his missiles at the target or if a UAV operator does the same? I guess if the ACLU wants to complain about the legality of the military killing people, then they need to extend their complaint to M-16s, F-16s and M-1 Tanks in addition to UAVs. I mean if you are dead, you are dead, right? Does it really matter how you got there?
Funny, but true. I've often thought that geeky shows get a pass in acting quality because a large segment of the target audience cannot discern good from bad acting anyways. Dr. Who and Babylon 5 come immediately to mind. Which is weird, when a show like Battlestar Galactica comes on with mostly third rate actors, it is hailed as acting supremacy (relative to other sci-fi shows, of course).
This is quite possibly the most over analyzed story I've read this year.
Or maybe the reason voice acting sucks in video games is because video games can't pay big time actors...or maybe because video games don't need big time actors...or maybe because some video games are mindless time-wasters that good voice acting would be lost on the target audience...or...
It's a video game, not a movie. It's expected to make money, not $100 million in the opening weekend.
I hate the faux-intellectual discussions and critiques of Wikipedia. This morning I wanted to figure out which Rolling Stones singles would have been better song choices on American Idol last night so I fired up Wikipedia. There's more information there (and easier to find) than on The Rolling Stones' own web site.
Wikipedia is used for non-academic endeavors as well as being a decent starting point for finding primary sources.
Kids (high school or college) who plagiarize anything from the web by copying and pasting are just stupid and deserve to be kicked from academia...I'm not sure why everyone feels the need to blame Wikipedia for society's ills.
That's ok...I liked your quote so much I posted it as my facebook status (and didn't cite you), but I changed it simply to say, "Conservatives think it's better..." to avoid the awkward "a minority conservatives" structure.
The definition of plagiarism isn't merely "copying sentences"--it's copying sentences and not citing the source when it's not your own, original thought. Many times I've had an original thought and wrote it as my own, only to find hundreds of other people have had the same thoughts, and put them in papers. Just because I wrote the same thought doesn't mean I plagiarized it--only that human minds often come to the same conclusions.
Other times I read tons of background information and then use that mashed up knowledge to form my thoughts for a paper. There's no need to cite any of the sources, unless I copy them verbatim, because I was just using the original sources to become more informed in my thought processes.
What is the probability my password will be hacked (low/medium/high)
What is the impact if my password is hacked (none/moderate/severe)
If I have low probability of being compromised, and the outcome is moderate, than that is a low risk. If I have a high chance of being compromised and the impact is severe, that is a high risk.
The problem with these sort of articles is not determining why people don't care about security, it's failing to take into account that a "low" risk rating on this matrix isn't worth the costs associated with protecting a system set up to prevent the "high" risk scenario I described.
Define "older". I stopped following fads sometime around age 14. Now that I'm "older" (40), I understand that people who followed fads when they were 14 generally tend to continue such small-minded behaviors well into late adulthood.
People who are "older" and don't fall for that stuff anymore most likely didn't fall for it when they were "younger" either (with obvious exceptions).
You made me think (uh oh) and I came up with an argument against the artistry of concept albums that have to be played in a strict order. What song comes after "Games People Play" on that Alan Parsons Project album? Hmmmm, no idea, and I don't really care, but Games People Play is a kick ass tune.
So you think it was wrong to kill Confederate troops during the Civil War? We should have just arrested them? That's an interesting take on history.

FOUO is not a classification (it's a handling instruction) and it is not exempt from FOIA.
If the US government has the right to kill US citizens without a trial
It doesn't...
, merely because the president says so
He can't
is there anything it doesn't have the right to do to anyone?
Yes. Killing US Citizens without a trial by order of the President, for starters.

It just means to drop in for a visit, sort of unannounced. We'd say "knock on somebody's door" when they say "knock somebody up".
I thought the Vice City GTA was good (but the others extremely overrated).
4) If your voice actors attempt to mimic strong accents of any form, beat them.
Well that eliminates Hugo Weaving from the conversation.
I think the bigger problem is why do all Fantasy Realm characters speak with British/Irish/Scottish accents? Was there no Canada in Middle Earth?
...Kevin Costner in Robin Hood.
There, fixed that for you.
As an American who lived in England, I can also say that "knocking somebody up" has two completely different meanings.
I have CoD4, but haven't played it yet. I'm sure I'll rip it to shreds knowing they Americanized the Brit portion.
You spelled "minimise" wrong...oh wait...

Who would have thought it?
Rush Limbaugh typically exhibits signs of low quality and lack of attention to detail.
Fixed that for you. (ok, mod off topic now)

Works after you graduate too, as in I do the exact same thing, but get paid a salary for it now.

Even many one-hit wonders have merit. The lack of a second hit doesn't detract from the original hit.

If Pink Floyd regards it as a single work, they should make one 72 minute long track. Solves everything.
