Thats not my experience at all, I find all of apples apps to be fast, responsive and designed well for the form factor. Setting a timer, not using siri, takes almost no time.
So the iPhone falls back to passcode if it has been powered off or if a fixed amount of time has passed locked. Seems to me that would be good enough if you could just adjust the amount of time. How long does it take to get a court order to compel me to unlock my phone?
The funny thing is that it will sell like crazy in asia where the old 5 style models were killing it even with old hardware. This is FUD intended to keep people from buying the SE before he can get his clone out on the market. I guess they shouldnt' have focused so much energy on cloning giant phones.
Michael Dell is worth 19 Billion apparently... Maybe its something about money like that that lets you say assinine shit and have people take you seriously. I'm afraid I will never know.
I assure you, nobody has paid me for any of these post. I am one of those senior developers wasting my employers time. I'm sure they would rather I was writing code than posting here.
Thats funny because in the states we absolutely fund busses with public money. You still pay for public transit but it is subsidized. You guys don't have public busses at all? Just private ones?
We have private bus lines too but they are generally inter-city buses.
This is why we need to raise the minimum wage. Professional trolls need to be able to feed their families too and it should cost people more to spread (mis)information on the internet.
plenty of manufacturing techniques are unpatented... it might be a common and well known technique but figuring out which one they chose over 10 others may be useful. You can also analyze the parts that they chose to source, why this motor instead of another one. The patents tell you only part of the story of how the car is made... what materials are used where and how they are connected.
more importantly, they aren't trying to make an exact copy of the car, they are just learning techniques that they can use to design their own car. In that case I don't think they would even have to be as careful about splitting out the information as compaq had to be where the behavior of the finished product had to be exactly the same as the original in every respect.
The evidence doesn't need to be admissible, it just needs to point them to the people they should get warrantless wiretaps against so they know who to monitor for evidence they can use. Awful, isn't it?
sure it might not be admissible but that wont stop them from creating warrantless wiretaps using the info found in the phone and then they can use evidence gathered there in court.
It should matter, but in this day and age,it really doesn't.
Probably not enough to justify the massive expenditure developing android software for the watch to work with. Plus selling a device that works great with an iPhone but is crippled on andriod isn't going to win them a lot of users.
You do not need a bluetooth headset to answer calls on the apple watch, it has a speaker and a mic, it does work pretty well though for long calls talking to your wrist can get kind of old, but for quick calls where your phone is near but you can't put your hands on it quickly (or your hands are occupied) it can be pretty decent. Certainly not a primary use case though.
As for exercise, if you really want steps thats one thing but if you just want to track your elliptical workout you can easily start it monitoring a workout, it measures your heart rate more often as well.
plenty of watch glances give you a forecast of some kind, most focus on very short term like 1-2 hour precipitation forecast along with temperature. If you want to see the temp tonight you can tap to launch the app itself and generally you will get the days forecast. It depends on the app you are using of course if you can get future forecast info as well but at some point you don't want to stare at your wrist anymore. Looking at next weeks weather is probably better done on your phone.
One of the tricky things about watches is that any interaction has to be quite limited in duration, it limits the number of apps that are practical on the watch. Most Watch app developers have not figured that out yet.
That said having temp, upcoming appointment and other data right on the watch face is awesome. Never missing a critical notification or call is fantastic and sometimes being able to use it to control your music playback can be extremely convenient. Using the watch to quickly set a reminder or timer without pause (using siri in this case) is fantastic, particularly since you can set location based reminder (i.e. remind me to take out the trash when I get home). Add to that the nice fitness tracking info and I think you have an excellent device. Admittedly I think the current watch could use to come down in price some because its difficult for most people to see these advantages and justify the cost to get them, but it is a very nice device once you get used to the idea that this stuff is available on your wrist instantly instead of on the locked device sitting in your pocket.
I get what you are saying but I think there is a lot of evidence that this new business is taking over the old one. I don't think they are at too much risk of losing customers over it. People love the new content and I suspect it is even driving some new signups by people who want to watch House of Cards or Orange is the New Black.
I'm also curious what the contraction in their catalog is caused by, are they really taking on less A list shows or are they not bringing in as many C list made for TV movies. If its the latter I think they can get away with it (although those movies make for cheep filler, they may not need as much filler).
If they really do stop carrying syndicated shows that could cause an opening for another provider to come in (amazon perhaps) but that doesn't mean that Netflix can't compete on oringinal content with someone like HBO and I suspect they will continue to do that.

is not designed to be a full fledged computer, treating it as such is stupid.
Though I will freely admit that many third party apps suck (and are often trying to solve problems that are not suited to the watch).

Yeah but this one is also thinner than the thickest laptop apple makes. Its innovative!

lack of security is considered a feature in their eco system :-)
The comments are about as logical and as coherent as his were.
Loans for solar are government subsidized and often come with no interest. Even if they did come with interest, have you seen interest rates recently?

Generally speaking things that are "Funny" are best when they don't include an explanation.

Does the food you eat get delivered to the city on a fleet of bikes?
if it were Apple doing this, instead of a "Welcome move" it would be a blatant attempt to kill of existing podcast apps.

The company that built the tool was not located in the US.
The Last Days was a really cool and original scifi/apocalypse move. I really enjoyed it.
