Are you sure? Because this is one of the listed features of Opera Wii, if it isn't working for you I suggest a Google search. If it isn't working it is a bug- it should be and I think it does work for the vast majority of us.
Dude, did you read my post? I SAID IE was better, but for all the wrong reasons. I'm middle income right now, but if I STOLE a million dollars I would be elite, that certainly doesn't make me somebody who deserves my wealth. The same applies to MS, the raped us and their competitors, this is not just an opinion- its very well documented.
This has been around since launch on the PS3 and the Opera "channel" on Wii. Sure it sounds like they are doing some tweaking, but to suggest that Youtube on these systems is new is just lame. Have the Slashdot editorial staff every played a modern console, or learned how to formulate a Google search?
I respect your point, however I do think that monopolistic anti-competitive practices by nature ARE anti-consumer. You also forgot to mention the Mac, which I think is certainly a better desktop. You are not obliged to agree, however I think the UI and various MS "enhancements" presented in Vista show that clearly MS believes that they have some catching up to do. Lets not forget that IE became dominant through the illegal leveraging of Windows. Yes it was better then the competition, but because they cheated.
Its hard to deny that MS has gotten where is has through quality or good practices. I hope the EU does what we should have, and slaps them hard on behalf of all the consumers and competitors they have swindled.
We all have a right to protect the civil rights of our fellow citizens. Were California to declare blacks 1/3rd of a person I would hope similar action would arise.
The problem with your argument is that there are many churches that will marry gays, so clearly some religions don't mind the concept of marriage. It bugs the heck out of me when it is suggested that "religion" opposes gay marriage, no most churches do, but certainly not all. If you can find a church to marry you, then the state should accept that as a marriage after the civil proceedings.
I don't mean to flame you, but I suspect you have limited exposure to gay people is you honostly believe that they make up.01% of the population. I would say its more like 1 in 10-20. In Cali it is most likely higher than the national average for a variety of reasons. Heck I bet its significantly higher than.01 in Utah.
Seriously, as a hispanic American I can attest to the amount of kissing I have seen between my male family members (usually on the cheek). Ironically enough most of whom oppose gay marriage.
I really like the concept, but there should be some yes question in there as well. For instance, "Will I have ever to pay for an upgraded version of Ubuntu?" All those noes make Ubuntu sound like its second class.
I'm gonna venture the guess that she ordered over the phone not online. Accidents do happen, and perhaps the agent was simply a big Ubuntu supporter and pushed it/thought it would suit her needs, which it would but clearly she is computer illiterate.
I think you are being a bit harsh, I think many of those classes are exactly what this woman needs. Sure that is low level stuff, but it is only worth one credit, and some of it seems genuinely useful. Notice how the Windows classes include instruction in maintenance? That is something, if taught right that is invaluable to the user. And no I am not anti-Windows trolling, simple maintenance is essential to any computer user.
I would like to second the comment about Flash. I absolutely hate it, but it has sadly become the defacto standard for web video. "Normal users" watch a lot of flash video and until Adobe gets their shit together Linux desktop penetration will suffer. I just hope for the death of Flash.
So all OS's operate the same now? No significant difference at all? Come on man, you know that just isn't true. There are some serious similarities, but you are kidding yourself if you don't think there is a learning curve.
While I admit the GP is a troll you are just as offbase. Your anecdotal evidance does not disprove that Windows is still dominant. Does it suck? Heck yeah, but schools only have so much time and sadly windows skills are crucial many industries. I hope that changes, but until then your 10 person shop does little to change the trend.

Seriously do it.
Whoops! You all know what I mean :-)

Crappy game demos cause crappy end sales? How is this news? If I get the chance to try a game and determine it sucks of course I won't buy it.
Sadly they have yet to work out all the kinks, right now they are only supporting men, hence the name GMale. Female support is coming soon.

The difference I see between this and the usually corporate lobbying is that this is transparent. Google is not trying to hide their position at all.

Thanks Google for "Doing no evil". I'm also glad to see many other companies on board too. Apple and MS included.
Wait didn't you hear about the new Google Gay Marriage beta? Dude, seriously, get with the times! I'd be more than happy to share my invites.

Maybe linux needs to be simple enough that anybody that owns a PC can use it. But that is not necessary, because we have the Mac.
There fixed that for you.

Apparently you haven't used the new Office with the ribbon from hell.
Hey buddy! ;-)
