I mean its an interesting system (could be better but not bad for a barebones mini-itx) but don't you think that this is the kind of information companies should provide? I mean reputable retailers such as Newegg doesn't post this information, and apparently neither do the chipset manufacturers.

Anyone know if the VIA chipset supports more than 1GB per DIMM?

I don't think the judge in question is an "idiot", however I think the poster before you was trying to pose the following question: "What reasoning did the judge follow through to determine that ram is discoverable?" Yes it is storage, however its like writing in the sand, it doesn't last for a significant period of time. Also, there's no guarantee that the data will make sense. In theory to prevent the MPAA from doing anything with the ip addresses one could make a reversible modification to the ip address while it is stationary (stored) in ram/hard drive, and then pump it through a mask that turns it into a valid ip address. So, the MPAA gets the ram-logs and the ip addresses, however they are all inaccurate. Would be interesting to see MPAA eyeing corporations that own some of the ip addresses that would result. key thing is its 32 bit... sorry i skipped over ubuntu. The whole point is some people see the need for 64bit os (more memory, higher precision, etc, etc) and its seems the economy is tending towards 64bit hardware, its just that its taking *FOREVER* for the software industry to capitalize on 64bit, and on another note multicore systems.

Ummmm..... You're running windows xp 32 bit right? Yeah.... that would be x86 support, not amd64 (x86_64, commonly referred to as amd64 as it was the first consumer level 64bit processor to reach market). Now there are alternatives to sun's java plugin, but they all suck because there wasn't really any openness to help those projects. Hopefully someone will realize that if they produce a working 64bit java plugin, then pretty much everyone running 64 bit will be using their product... But whatever.
