Excuse me? The speed of any intel chip (or clone) doesn't come close to the G4. And as someone who daily uses NT and OS8.6 - I can assure you that they are not equally "usable" (although NT is far superior to Win95/98 in stability). And Win98 is an abomination, with its integration with MSIE. I use that in the HTML2 class I teach each week. I have a 3 hour class and have to reboot the machine at least one time each session. And all I have open is notepad and Netscape. Go figure.
Re Linux on the iBook - I think it's cool and wonder if it'll work on iMac as well. I have my G3 powerbook partitioned for LinuxPPC but can't seem to make time to actually install it.
