First off: I love the Vonage T.V. adds. Especially where the poor bastard tries to ski-jump from his roof into the back of a pickup truck. Second favorite is when the dumb-ass lets the tree fall on his car, etc.
So far, none of the VoIP I use provides a side tone in order to give you a feel for the "smoothness" of the conversation. This is a serious fault for folks without a telco background.
These SOBs are long overdue for something like this to happen. Even on a good day, their overloaded servers are just fucking things up for the rest of us. I don't have all GD day for their shit to load up. Maybe they will get more server capacity in operation or just go the hell out of business.....
My best friend is retired from Esso Tanker Service, and he swears that one clear day they were underway from Valdize, AK, to Southern California, with a full load of crude oil. He was the helmsman, and on his watch in broad daylite, he observed what he thought was a fog bank approaching head-on to their course. He informed the Captain and they both watched in amazement when the "fog bank" turned out to be a huge wave. He swears that when the wave struck the ship, green water engulfed the wheel-house. He and the skipper had no reason to expect such a wave. I don't remember the height from the water to the wheel-house was, but there was only one wave, and Herb says if they had been hit at an angle, they would have sunk without a trace. The rest of the crew was below deck, or there would have been a real disaster. As it were, the ship only suffered minor damage.
Yeah, same here. Went to the FCC field office in Atlanta in 1983 with a dry mouth and sweaty palms and came away with EXTRA class in spite of my being a bundle of nerves. Btw, my uncle had been a telegrapher for the IC railroad before WW2. He taught me the code when I was 12 years old.
I don't use it much anymore, but I still understand it when I hear it. My best copy speed was 25 wpm without errors. It is very much a language in that you must learn the sound of words before you can get past about 10 wpm.
Amateur radio station W1AW transmits practice at several speeds.
There was a film made of this little aerobatic stunt. I saw it a while ago on the t.v. history channel. The test pilot was probably wondering if he was going to get fired. He did not.;-)
I agree with this observation. I kinda looks like its payback time for Micro$oft..hehehehehe

Clever, but way below what I've come to expect from this show. On the other hand, if they could have had Gerry Ryan make a guest appearance as her Borg character *of9, it sure would have made for some interesting scenery.

Just to go along this line of thought:
Adv. For Sale: WW2 French rifles - never fired and only dropped once. (teehee)
Does anyone know if the Canadians got final approvel to start up the power transfer tp Mauntauk out on Long Island????
Don't forget - cows produce a shit-load of methane....;-)
Much ado about nothing, to use material from Shakespeare.
As far as I can tell from most of the comments on this subject, Trolls 1, the rest of us 0.
Bring back the wholesome, intellectually challenging Monty Python movies, and blow off all of this BS.
