I think this is coming out too late, they should have had this ready to be released right after the third movie was out. At that time it was still fresh in people's minds and it would've been easier to gain mainstream attention. Now it is something which will probably only reach the true fans of LOTR. IMHO on the one hand this is better cause the people playing it will be more into it, but on the other hand if alot more people play it the creators will have more money to improve and add to the game.
Anyway, I'll give it a try for sure, anyone know a European release date?
I know their is prior art for building houses, as there is for this idea in fact. I was just trying to make clear that patenting a layout of something is just plain stupid! I can think of many ways to put things next, above, under,... eachother. The point is that you shouldn't be able to patent one of the possibilities...
How is it possible to patent the layout of something? I'll just go and patent a much used way of laying bricks on top of eachother and everyone who builds a house has to pass by my bank account first? This patenting is getting way out of hand!
On my home machines I have banned any windows system for good since the beginning of this year, I installed Linux on my machines instead. It's highly unlikely I'm ever going to install vista at home.
At work however I might come in contact with it, but hopefully not much as we're moving our server applications to Linux machines. Client applications however will probably remain windows based as we can't force our clients to move away from windows. But I'm not really involved in the development of those applications so I should be able to stay clear of vista and I couldn't be more pleased!
Learning how to use Linux was one of the best things I ever did!
As opposed to "month-of-script-kiddies-working-hard-to-exploit-n on-patched-and-non-updated-websites"?
Reminds me of the movie Unbreakable.
I for one would like to welcome our new lakes-under-the-ice-firing-space-lasers-overlords!
(...or they could just ask nicely.)
Drill first, ask later?
Given Microsoft's amazing track record at standardization!

... of Futurama.
Let's start dropping giant ice cubes into the sea to stop global warming!
Why enforce silly rules like cutting down emissions if you can come up with a half-baked crazy idea instead?

Still nothing compared to my pong ping ball (patent pending)!

Put on your tin foil hat... And sun glasses!

Now I'm even more pleased with switching to linux on my ACER TravelMate 8000 just last week...
