Show me where the Constitutional process for how the Rebuplic runs discusses that kind of political power. It is an abomination of the system the US had.
Show me where the Constitution outlines citizens voting for a President. ...can't, can you? That's probably because it was never there. The Founders actually intended for us to vote for our State Representatives only, with the Presidential Office determined by Congress.

God, you know what, you're right! I am a complete fool. I mean hell, last time I was resisting arrest, and the officer told me to stop struggling or I would be tasered, HE FUCKING TASERED ME. Can you believe that shit? Cops are animals.

  3. A Little Breakdown for the rest of us... on University of Florida Student Tasered At Political Rally · · Score: 0

It's amazing how different people can watch the exact same video and draw completely opposite conclusions as to what actually happened. I will break it down for those of you too ignorant enough to put away your political biases and actually figure out what happened.

0:42 - Mr. Meyer is told to ask his question or leave. Not only is he already there without a) a ticket or b) permission, but he refuses to comply with that simple request. He continues to babble on, without asking questions, saying he needs to "preface" his thought. Regardless, the police allow him to stay.

1:34 - Mr. Meyer pulls the shadow-government conspiracy card by asking if Kerry is still a member of the Brotherhood of Death. At this point, the UF Accent Speakers Bureau (organizers of the event) decides they've had enough, and that it is time for Andrew (who, by the way, is still not even supposed to be there) to leave.

1:40 - Mr. Meyer's mic is cut, and the police attempt to escort him out at the request of the ASB.

1:45 - For the next seven seconds, Mr. Meyer peacefully is escorted away from the podium with an officer on each arm.

1:54 - Mr. Meyer begins fighting the officers, violently, and refuses to leave the event at which he's not even supposed to be present.

At this point, the officers do not know anything about this guy, except that he is violently resisting being led out. Now they are forced to place him under arrest.

2:42 - John Kerry requests that everyone calm down so he can answer the question. But so what? He is there, as a guest, because the ASB paid him a LOT of money to come speak. He does not control the event.

2:54 - Officers are attempting to cuff Andrew, but they cannot do so without twisting his arms, because he is resisting arrest.

3:04 - Mr. Meyer is informed that, if he does not stop resisting being handcuffed, he will be tazed. He acknowledges he heard the warning with a "Don't tase me, bro!"

Remember, at this point, his hands are still free, and he has not yet been patted down because of his resistance.

3:08 - After full 4 seconds to comprehend the consequences, said asshole is tased, cuffed, and led out.

What exactly is the big deal here? This headline should read "Loudmouthed Asshat Refuses to Leave Political Rally, Only Complies When Tasered".

Police officers did nothing wrong. In fact, they probably saved him further injury by taser instead of twisting the hell out of his arms trying to cuff him. Hmm...perhaps this is why the taser was invented? To prevent permanent injury to people resisting arrest? Maybe...

Both of you - if you have done anything to cause the government to accuse you of being a terrorist, I would personally get a kick out of seeing you get all your shit taken away. Don't be a jackass and the government won't give a damn about your property. There are still checks and balances within this legislation anyway, which is why no one is storming the White House lawn yelling about their rights being taken away. Call me a "fucking moron" if it will make you feel better about yourself, but that doesn't change the fact that this legislation is not new or unprecedented. It has just been dressed up by the anti-Bush crowd to incite hate towards the President (which is such an original idea nowadays, don't you think?). Here is who this legislation targets (quoted from the linked Guardian UK article): "For example, Shia militia groups linked to Iran. Sunni insurgent groups that are taking sanctuary in Syria and indigenous Iraqi insurgent groups that are not covered under pre-existing authorities." Is this you? Is this anybody on this board? Where do you people get the idea that Bush creates this kind of stuff to target ordinary citizens? Do you think he's going to use this to seize your baby, and subsequently eat it? No, you fucking jackass, it's used to quickly disable terrorist groups so they can't afford plane tickets to send suicide bombers to Iraq. Does this shit say anywhere that it strips you of your right to challenge a ruling? Fuck no. If you do nothing but sit at your computer and type "BUCK FUSH" on the interweb all day, and you are suddenly declared to be a terrorist and have your assets seized, FUCKING CALL A LAWYER AND SUE SOMEBODY. You still have rights to appeal unreasonable accusations, you dumb fucking idiots. Christ you people always assume that Bush does nothing but eat babies all day.

...when any of this legislation actually affects any single person who has posted something like "omfg bush is a nazi" or "where is the outrage america wtf". Until then, all of you are just bitching about a ruling by which none of us will ever be touched. Stop pretending you understand what this kind of power is for, and where it will be used.

It is the same as with the PATRIOT act: Unless you are a terrorist, none of this will affect you in any way whatsoever.

But still feel free to pretend you understand any of what's going on in the higher levels of government. And most definitely feel free to post absolute bullshit remarks involving impeaching the President for war crimes. This is a free country after all; ignorance is still allowed.
