It is easy to get confused in this matter because we are talking about Steve Jobs, who seems a pretty smart and decent guy anyway. How about if we replace Steve with Ken Lay, should 'Kenny Boy' receive a much higher level of medical care than somebody who choose to be a librarian rather than a 'business tycoon'?

    Only a name: Michael Jackson.

First label them with random labels such as "Child Porn", "Gangbang Demo", "My michael Jackson music collection", "Best of Metallica", "Old Napster", "NewContryLawyer incriminating evidence" and then put some random material downloaded from the Pirate Bay and some porn of your choice of course.

Then it comes the brilliant suggestion: Load and install on them the nastiest malware you can find on the web, don't install the same malware on all disks, be creative and be sure that it's current. It should go undetected by the average computer user in a corporate environment: a idiot, word-excel monkey, 35-70 Years Old with absolutely no idea nor interest in how computer works.

Finally head to this address and leave some of the disks in the starbucks most visided by lawyers, make sure they look like forgotten. Places like toilets and the water dispenser are a must.

For additional fun label part of the disks as "PAYBACK" and leave them at starbucks at this address.

Good Fun, your family wouldn't be happy this chrismast but we will be much gratefull !

I go as far as telling you that also the victims should be punished for leaving their machines wildly exposed to the botnet. Guess all of them they were running un-updated OS, without antivirus and/or firewall. Since it's obvious that these bots are used also in criminal attacks against other people (DDOS - Spamming - further botnet spreading) I don't see them as victims but more like accomplices.

To sum it up a Theft produces a reduction in a STOCK.

Since digital material can be reproduced at will in perfect copies there is no stock to steal from...then there is no crime. Added to this to make a profit you need scarcity of source and a imperfect market. That's the reason why the corporate oligopolist of MAFIAA live in a frenzy of terror since when the recording tape has been invented. No wonder they pay big money to twart common sense, 200 years of economic theories and... law.

It has to be pointed out that a imperfect market harms the consumers, competition and progress. Also it has to be pointed out that amongs politicians there are several psicopats that would prefer living as rich in a poors contry rather than working for the common good. Sad news that putting them in power it's your fault.

I understand that most people will be in a rush for carla bruni pictures. But don't forget she's also an artist whose music is strangely not selling well.

Of course this is because of piracy!!! She's obviously too nice to sing poorly and now that she's the wife of the president she's also too famous to hold a concert in a stadium to raise some money by actual work.

I hope that the french three strikes policy will correct this unfair stealing of her precious music from those filthy bastards that got her husband elected.

This of course has nothing to do with sarkosy including anti-piracy discussion in every meeting with EU PMs like last week with italian media mogul berlusconi.
