I'm supposed to believe that some coder was logging passwords by accident? Right, and i'm just writing code for an online store and I just happen to be keeping copies of all CC #'s on my personal computer, just for debugging.

  2. OS discussion on Verizon Might Deliver Google Phone · · Score: 2, Interesting

I would tend to believe that verizon can find a large correlation between the users who utilize their higher end services (data, web, extremely high minutes usage) and the front end on those phones. I have a feeling that this is not the normal "I use this phone because it was the free" type user, but rather the users who spring for the higher end phones (Q, Q9, Treo etc.. all of which aren't crippled by the standard verizon OS). It seems like for awhile verizon has gotten away with their crippled front end because they placed it on a trendy form factor, namely the razor and all of it's iterations. I would assume they have realized for awhile that the market has been saturated with stylish form factor phones and they going to have to step up their front end soon if they want to keep the users satisfied enough to not migrate to one of the other companies.

If my gross assumptions are on the mark, I bet the people at verizon think it would be a pretty sweet deal to get a company that is inherently trusted by the average consumer to do the redesign that they so desperately need.

I would wager that a majority of people that robbed/mugged/(insert other violent acts here) to obtain their ps3 had and have no idea what the capabilities of the system are. These probably aren't the type of people utilizing the core processor and participating in Folding@home either. ps3, the socially conscious uber nerd's soon to be all in 1 blu ray dvr gaming machine.

I enjoyed the games, but I really got in to the multi-player, as I feel like most people do these days. The thing I like about the Halo series though, is that they don't skimp (as much as other studios do) on the single player story line. I feel like some other games are rushed out to hit the multi-player markets and the story line suffers.

  6. Re:It's fun for gamecube, too on The Reinvention of Zelda · · Score: 1

I just recently beat the game on the gamecube and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it played. The first hour or two of game play is linear but that was fine with me because I needed that time to get familiar with the controls (which get explained during that linear portion). After that short period the game expands rapidly in both sheer map size as well as available tasks. Personally, I didn't feel as thought the side storylines were developed well enough to hold my interest very long but I do feel that the developers did a very good job improving upon the design of the other extremely successful LOZ titles.
